I was there a few times. Parking is on the street, I usually was able to park just across the street from them. Tried to be careful, always kept guns in a locked box.
They don't allow magnum, Not sure about rifles, I think I've seen a rifle there. Membership is required, but it is not expensive.

GFH has separate counters for members and non-members, hence separate lines. Last time I went there, I was 2nd in line for members, and the non-member line was about 10-person long.

When we complain about the miserable status of the gun owners in NJ, we agree that more people should be involved in shooting. Ranges like GFH are doing exactly this, they try to attract new shooters. Rental is not "just business" it is a political action, if I may say so. I don't understand why so many of us against rentals.
Suicides - sad but unavoidable. Maybe some extra measures can be taken, but rentals must go on.- 2

I used Home Depot ("big box store") many years ago, didn't know anything else. Apparently I got lucky, the job was done with a good quality, no complains.
I had the whole Renewal By Anderson thing done at my house. I am pleased with the choice. I like the fact that Anderson stands behind the windows, and there's no finger pointing if anything happens years down the line.
I was doing some consulting work for them at their manufacturing facility in MN. Very good quality, lifetime warranty. But you have to pay for the brand name.

I tried a business intelligence tool that can read right from a web page, and here is what I got:
NJ is #26 in murder rate (1 being the lowest), and #29 in gun murder rate.The safest state is VT, with 42% gun ownership (in fact probably more, given their absence of gun laws)
The worst is DC, with more than double of the 2nd place LA and the lowest gun ownership, 3.6%.
There are 24 states with higher gun ownership then NJ, and the lower gun murder rate at the same time:

Colorado
Connecticut
Idaho
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky
Maine
Minnesota
Montana
Nebraska
New Hampshire
New York
North Dakota
Ohio
Oregon
South Dakota

What took them so long?
The good news - they have 3 million "supporters", whatever that means, while NRA has 5 million members. I'm wondering how many "supporters" make any $ contributions. So, this is not a "movement", just a Bloomberg operation.
I tend to think that anti-gun position is damaging for HRC. Not all Dems are with her on this issue (even Sanders is rather different), many are NRA members.

By a conservative estimate, there are at least 100,000 DGU per year in the US. It is hundreds per day, not mere dozens. In most cases no shots fired, hence "there is nothing to report"...

Here is a document that shows CCW by state. A table on pages 12-13 shows % of adult population with CCW. Here are some numbers if you don't want to read the whole thing:
NJ - 0.02%
Our neighbors:
CT - 7.26%
NYC - 0.09% (yes, better then us)
PA - 8.67%
DE - 0.69%
MD - 0.31% (even this one is 15 times more than NJ)
MA - 4.74%

Nothing is free. Stores take the cost of the bags into account when design the prices. So, we're going to pay twice.
Hope the legislature will pass enough laws like this to make voters angry and force them out. But Christi should conditionally veto the bill so the law applies to everyone, no exceptions.

I'm not sure what the Congress can do. Pass a law that the states cannot ignore the US Constitution? But there is already the 14th Amendment which says, in section 1:
"No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States..."
Or just exclude this state from the Union altogether for ignoring the Constitution.

Their Dem governor can veto it, but Republican to Democrat ratio in legislature is about 3:1. They can override the possible veto.
