1 hour ago, Tariq said:Just spoke with Mercer County Superior Court. The record’s department confirmed that they have my application and it should be sent up at the end of this week. Also spoke to Nicholas, the judge’s law clerk (very nice by the way), he informed that once the judge is back next week they should be essentially rubber stamping the applications because of the new law and currently he has about 40 applications with him and then however many he receives from records this week. So it looks fairly optimistic for those of us in the courts that we will receive ours within the next 60 days.
I hope that's correct, as noted earlier, I spoke to him also. I may be wrong, but I also seem to recall someone posting many pages back (Oct?), that he was told by the clerk that the Christie judge just stepped in and predicted all applications received prior, would be finished by the end of that month or so. Sometimes I can't help but feel that they're just kicking the can down the road (domani, domani).

About a week ago I got a letter from the Clerk of the Court saying that if there is a change in my status or residence or if I sell my gun I need to report it to the State Police and the Court and surrender my permit.
Sure would like to see them focusing on the self-created backlog of applications rather than the what ifs and maybes.

Spoke to the Mercer law clerk 2nd week of December. Told me I was in the 120's and stated they were working on finishing the 80's. Said they completed 40 applications the previous week so with luck I could get it before Christmas, but most likely some time in January. He didn't specify what part of January, or January of what year. Keep the faith ladies and gents, and Happy New Year to all!

Buon Anno a tutti! Wishing a happy, healthy, permit filled New Years for all!

Do you use just pork, or a combo of meats? The reason I ask is because my grandmother used to make something like sausage patties using pork, veal, and ground meat I think. We would put it on a thick slice of her homemade bread with an egg on top of the sausage. Seeing some of your previous menu items I bet yours is pretty good.
-
You get that meat from the hogs invading your property? I like sausage, especially sweet Italian, but still prefer bacon and porkroll.
-
Glad you got your permit, but aren't you extremely concerned that not only did they possibly check your social media, but also that of everyone in your family?

Wishing everyone and their family and friends a very warm, blessed Christmas! And for those who don't celebrate the birth of Jesus, I wish you the same happy holidays! Who knows, maybe I'll find my carry permit under the tree tomorrow morning.

In fact the range i did my qualifications at reccomended them to all the participants i told the instructor I've been a member for like 5 years now.
I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that ULawshield covers attorney related fees only, so if someone sues you and wins you are on the hook.

Nah, that'd make you just like them.

Although the earliest appointments I could get at Baker's Basin were 2 months out, my wife and I were in and out in less than 15 minutes. And as previously noted, the actual licenses are mailed.

Great news for you!

I don't think Hamilton ever called my references from my first fpid/p2ps starting 10 years ago on. I believe they felt that since they had the signed reference forms, that was sufficient. I believe that's what they figured this go around since the notarized refences from each was enough (unless they had specific instructions from Mercer to contact references). My opinion is that since they now know the court insists references must be contacted, Tariq should be ok. I also believe this quagmire has been intentionally created, and perpetuated, by our governor and legislature to keep us from practicing our constitutional right. I can only imagine what will happen once these bills are signed into law before the end of the year.

At those prices, no wonder they were empty. Although I do remember going across the river to the Levittown PA. Wal-Mart to buy ammo. It felt exhilarating to be able to just walk in and out with no rigmarole.

Thanks! Looking for something to carry it in, if Mercer ever starts approving permits.
-
Good evening,
Can someone who has received a carry permit please give the dimensions of the card?
Thanks

Congrats to you! Interesting that it's dated 11/10/22. Must be a very long walk from the courthouse to the PD.
-
What really doesn't make sense is that applications have been just sitting there piling up without anyone doing anything with them for the past several months. Prosecutor to judge to prosecutor to PD? Don't mean to be so cynical, but sounds like a lot of malarkey to me.
-
Thanks for your suggestion Krdshrk, but I'm not on Facebook or Twitter. I do check out the NJ Gun forum on Reddit since I don't need to sign in. GodStrength, I think the purpose of Hamilton Twp. not taking a MO right away is if the application isn't approved by PD you are not stuck with the MO.

I called end of September, was told "we'll call you", got the call for the money order about a week later. I know I sound like a broken record, but is there any proof of permits (other than the first possible few) being issued through Mercer? Without it, I'm led to believe that Mercer hasn't issued any since.

Get registered if you're not, get informed on the candidate's 2A voting or position, support their campaigns and vote these anti-gun officials out of office.
Excellent idea, and since every single democrat in the assembly voted for the bill it makes it all the more easier to know who the antis are.

Sorry, should have been more clear. With average shipping around $14+ for 5 or 6 boxes I saved another $3 per box not having to pay shipping, so technically $10 a box. Now if I can only find some 45acp and 38spec. at a decent price. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the people who are using switches on Glocks probably aren't legal carry permit holders, and her ignorance should have been pointed out post haste.

They're probably waiting for the bill to pass in the Senate and signed by Murphy next week so they can deem all current applications null and void since they don't meet the requirements.

Fantastic! Mercer's on a roll! Can you tell me the date it was approved?
