  1. I have 2 Sigs, both of which are recent models. The 9mm M11-A1 and the .45 P227. I've gotta say I'm very happy with both and even with the higher prices, I've got no regrets.
  2. Just got the call yesterday 7/3!! Last name D in Belleville. That makes it 5 months 3 days of processing time.
  3. Congrats! I called the Belleville records department today. Detective Giacobbe told me that they're processing the records roughly in the order that they were originally filed (which is good for those who have been waiting longer). He said he's got about 125 applications to go through but to expect a call when your permits are ready for pickup.
  4. I just spoke with Detective Giacobbe in Belleville and he told me that some records up to the letter E have come in. They are soon to start processing permit applications. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll have mine
  5. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). Initial FID with 2 P2P 2. Police Department where you applied. Belleville PD 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Clerk in records dept, unsure of her name. 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. Applied 1/31/13...Permits ready 7/3/2013...5 months 3 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). Standard forms only 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.)The process went very smoothly. I had already filled out the required forms before going in. Took about 10 minutes and I was out.
  6. Thanks all! dbldune, did you have any problems finding either gun for sale? I'm on the fence about putting money down on one because of the crazy wait times.
  7. Sorry to hear that . I know there's quite a few people with ridiculous wait times. I honestly expected mine in June or July when I applied. Not that it's still not out of the question but at based on some of the activity that we're hearing about, I think it should be sooner than that. We'll find out soon enough I hope.
  8. My last name starts with a D. I applied on January 31st with reference letters going out quite promptly. I'm in Belleville and spoke with Detective Giacobbe who said that the mental health records are all they're waiting on. I'll update if I get any good news.
  9. Hello, everyone. I stumbled across the forums trying to figure out what's going on with our mental checks in Essex county. I put in for the initial FID and 2 P2P back in January and from the looks of it, it's gonna be a while before they materialize. On the bright side, It's given me some time to decide on the first two handguns I'd like; the Ruger SR22 pistol and Beretta 92FS Inox. Anyway, glad to be onboard!
