  1. Check your coolant levels, if it's good then you may have a clogged heater core or a clog in the coolant circuit.  When the engine is revving, it provides more pressure so that may explain why heat is on only when moving.  It could also be air in the system.  There's a way to bleed it out but I'm not sure how on your odyssey.

My cut your owns 6'-8' were wiped out last year.  All i got left in the field are 10-12' trees.   Yes.  There is a shortage of 7-8' trees.

Many years ago I sold trees.  One year I went through 3500 trees, at just one stand.  The last shipment, I don't know where they came from, the trees ranged from 10', the smallest, to probably 16'.  I swear, they were treetops from a logging company.  Anyway, we made a lot of 7'-8' trees out of them.

My parents have had fake tree last few years and Mom really misses the smell of the fresh tree. She found these and hides them in the center of the fake tree. They are actually really close to the smell of fresh pine.

The only thing that smells as good as real pine is real pine.  I've had both fake and real trees.  Some of the artificial trees are very realistic now, not like the ones made of pipe cleaners when I was a kid.  I prefer real but for various reasons we have been going with a fake table top tree lately.

For that genuine pine scent, this is what I do.  Go to the local fire/first aid tree stand and ask for cuttings  If you know how to identify a Balsam fir, grab as much of that as you can, otherwise, just get whatever.  Trimmed tree boughs are a pita, they are basically garbage and they will let you take as many as you like.  They always offer them to me for free (garbage, remember) but I always throw them a $20.  When you get home, cut up the boughs into 12" lengths and stuff them into some old pillow cases.  Twist the top and tie it off.  Place the pillow cases anywhere you like, behind the tree and under the couch is where I put them.

All the real pine scent goodness with zero cleanup.

Roger that... continue with your Mossberg circle jerk. emoji6.png

I had a JIC2 500, which I sold unfired. Not a fan of the controls compared to the 870. The only difference between the 500 and the 590 was Mossberg going to a barrel/tube design closer towards the 870. Yep... superior design. emoji106.png

I gotta admit. not a big fan of he shockwave's position for the slide release, but that's because I'm an 870 all the way kinda guy,  The position is alien to me.  But, I do like the trigger on the shockwave better than my mid 1980's 870.  The 870 trigger is heavier but breaks clean, while the shockwave has a certain amount of take up  then breaks nice at a lesser pull weight.  Almost feels like a two stage.....  almost.

once zeroed at 100 yds, got 1 MOA groups using cheap PMC 147gr ammo.

1 MOA???  what kind of BS is that!  You can do better.  Start from scratch, I'll tell ya what, I'll take that heap off your hands for half what you put into it.  You deserve a sub MOA rifle.

BTW, is 6mm creedmoor a thing ? same or better than 6.5 or just different purpose ?

.243 Win was a really popular round for long range competition.  6mm CM is just a slight teensy weensy improvement over .243.  Competition shooters jizz over CM and rifle makers need to make more money so they ditched .243 for comp rifles and started making 6mm CM.  So, now it's a thing.

  7. Simply put, deregulating the internet, departing from it's original open source unrestricted structure, would be like deregulating football, baseball, or any other sport you happen to still like.   Anything goes.  Regulation, to some degree, is necessary.  what the FCC is proposing takes away consumer protections and empowers corporations to rape you.  The internet, on the consumer market level, was intended to be an open source, unrestricted, means to access information.  Without net neutrality, you will only see what your ISP wants you to see.

Imagine what it would be like if you wanted to travel somewhere, and the person at the toll booth told you, as a matter of corporate policy, they don't want you to go to your destination because it would not be an optimally profitable destination for them and you will have to pay extra to go to your destination or they outright say no, you cannot use this road to get to  where you want to because it's a conflict of interest, and block your ability to access information.

  8. Here's a couple delicious recipes for Thanksgiving day.  These are favorites that I've been serving for a few years.

    Pumpkin Pie Martini.

2 parts pumpkin spice vodka (there are several brands, any will do)

    1 part Baily's Irish Cream.

Splash of light cream or half and half

    Whipped cream

    Ground nutmeg

    Ice

Shake vodka, Baily's and light cream mixture  in ice filled shaker, pour into chilled martini glass, top with whipped cream, sprinkle with nutmeg, drink, repeat until unable to repeat.

    After Dinner Espresso.

2 jiggers Van Gough Espresso or Double Espresso Vodka

    Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino

    Whipped cream

    Chocolate covered Pocky sticks.

    Ground cinnamon

Pour 2 jiggers vodka into a coffee cup (use the nice ones with a saucer if possible), pour Frappuccino leaving enough room for whipped cream, top with whipped cream, sprinkle lightly with ground cinnamon, garnish (optional) with Pocky stick or any similar confection such as chocolate coated pretzel sticks.  This goes extremely well with dessert.

e reason there aren’t examples are because NN has been law for most of the period that streaming has gotten popular. There are

Actually, there are examples of isps throttling traffic from certain sites and other networks.  I'm at work right now and I can't really look it up, but I will be happy to when I get home later.

CJRPC is the best range in NJ that I know of. They also have one of the longest ranges at 300 yds. Finally they don't bother you to do anything but if you choose to go to meetings and volunteer then you get a discount on the yearly fee.

Speaking of longer ranges whatever happened to the 1,000 yd range that was supposedly being built in NJ? I thought it was in South Jersey.

If you can get over the very steep initiation fee, cjrpc is probably the best value going IF you do a lot of shooting and different types of shooting and plan on doing it for the long haul...  Rifle, pistol, trap, archery, bonus if you are a deer hunter.  They have a tremendous amount of acreage that you are allowed to hunt on.

is this legal, as an add on for the TAC14?

One of the very narrow and specific set of things that makes the shockwave and Tac-14 legal is the birdshead style grip.  A letter went out to LE stating that both firearms, in their original configurations, are legal.  Any modification that removes a component and replaces it with anything other than an exact duplicate is inviting trouble.  How much trouble is anyone's guess.  But I bet finding out would be expensive.

  12. While our minds are occupied with Thanksgiving preparations and tying up loose ends at work, and the hustle and bustle of black friday shopping, this is what's happening right under our noses.

IT'S OFFICIAL. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), under the guidance of chairman and former Comcast exec Ajit Pai will make a decision about whether or not to scrap the Obama-era ruling to protect net neutrality.

    READ MORE --> https://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/3021551/fcc-will-reveal-vote-to-repeal-net-neutrality-this-week

Basically, one of the very few things that BO actually did right was to protect net neutrality.  The former Comcast exec Ajit Pai is set to take regulatory power away from the federal and state government and make it so that ISPs can charge you a premium for normal internet speeds and if you don't pay you will be kicked down to a slower lower priority network.  They are making deals with content providers like Netflix, Amazon  and Hulu.

From the actual inventor if the Internet

    Quote

When I invented the World Wide Web as an information sharing system in 1989, I aimed to create a neutral space where everyone could create, share, debate, innovate, learn and dream. That’s why I gave my invention away for free, so that anyone, anywhere could access and build on it without permission. My vision was an online space that would give people freedom — and America’s entrepreneurial, optimistic spirit embraced it with enthusiasm.

The internet was created as an open source society and now the ISPs want to hijack it, set up toll roads and control your access to the WWW.  If your ISP does not like a website, they can slow down your connection to a crawl, and there won't be a damn thing you can do about it.

We are going to my Mom and Dad's for dinner. I'm going over early so she can teach me how to do everything

Family traditions are often manifest through recipes .  Historically, holidays are the few times of the year time the whole family, near and far, gathers and celebrates.  The words festival and feast are very closely related.  It is only through the gathering and the festival that we can maintain the continuity of tradition.  It's kinda funny, I'm the only boy out of seven children and I'm the only one who knows most of my family recipes, both Sicilian and Irish.  I find it somewhat tragic when family traditions die out with passing generations.  I applaud you for carrying on the family tradition.  I believe It's important we all have a tangible link to our past.
