  1. Must be a 6th sense type thing to randomly see that sign! I can't tell you how many people have driven by 3 or 4 times with the address and still couldn't find it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Most of the guys on this thread are new member so we can't sponsor anybody. But if you show up around 15-30 minutes early to the July meeting it's easy to get one or two signatures, especially with the nice weather everyone usually hangs around outside until the meeting starts, so just look for a yellow badge. It's a nice group of guys, and hopefully the second range will be opening up soon. What time are you looking to go shooting? I'm away on training for work this week but I might be able to take you one night next week or the week following. Where are you from?
  3. Thanks... If anyone else is interested I found that GSG 1911 mags fit this for about $25 a piece. If nothing else pops up soon I may have to buy this so my last p2p isn't wasted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I did a quick search for additional mags since it only comes with one. Cheapest I could find is 35 bucks from impact guns, dang Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. If anyone finds this thread and is interested in CRRC feel free to PM Alpo, Czechmark or myself. We became member last week and can answer most of your questions or take you to the range if you'd like to check it out. For those of you who had communications issues, we brought that to their attention and they are reevaluating and changing how their email system works and most of those issues should be alleviated. They're still trying to figure out how to structure the new membership system, but don't let that detract you from becoming a member because it's definitely worth it! And if you want to go shooting in the meantime let us know!
  6. See (some of) you gents tonight, tomorrow we shoot!! For those interested in joining we'll see if they clarify anything tonight. I did see they postponed the April orientation, Maybe they figured out a way to make things more streamlined? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. They let us tour the indoor facilities during our orientation since the outside ranges had a foot of snow on them. So you can either tour them then or get in touch with me after I have my second reading and I'll take you for a tour and you can shoot if you want. As far as the emails I'm not sure how much luck you'll have, but I don't think any of the guys joining would mind being a liaison for you and getting you as much info as we can. We all believe pretty strongly that the club is a community and want to help each other out and progress our 2A rights at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. You don't actually have to "sign up" for the safety orientation class. You just show up, write your name on the sign in sheet, pay 10 dollars, listen to the rules and pass an easy test. For most of us the first time at the club was for the orientation since the prior meeting got canceled by the snow. And we also dealt with the unresponsive emails, I'm not sure why they don't answer, sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There's also a money box if you don't have any stickers with you. I also think it's to pay for the lights/heat/vent/electric bill. If you find them let me know. I'll buy them from you so they don't go to waste Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah, first Wednesday in April. I'll send you my phone number so we can get together and head over there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Nice, what are you doing for your work hours? The guy sitting next me kept bitching and complaining about the work hours, I actually found it pretty amusing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I don't agree with the new process either. I think you should be able to get an app at a monthly meeting and have your first reading whenever you fill out the applicable forms, but not be allowed to have your second reading until you complete the range safety course, that would make more sense. I wasn't a fan of how some guys got there late and didn't get any signatures (Alpo got there late and still got his sigs), you should have to make some sort of effort to engage in the community you're asking to be a part of. I still think it's an awesome group of people and I'm looking forward to joining, but it does seem there are areas for improvement, hopefully we'll be able to provide some input as we pay our dues as members Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Well, the snow isn't an issue so I'll see (most of) you gents tonight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the reassurance. I need to start shooting more than I have been (which is almost non-existent) and don't think I can deal with the emotions of having to wait another month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've got no problem if you've got a few thousand rounds and you are using some of it. I've got a problem with the people who have 20k rounds, buy a brick a week, and never go to the range or shoot. When I was at dicks when I bought the case of 2000 the guy in front of me was angry that he couldn't buy more than one ( he asked for 4), that's being greedy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I concur with your wisdom, sir Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Most of them get two deliveries a week, and some of them are more pro-2A and ammo than others. ie: the Dicks in Princeton rarely has ammo whereas the one in East Brunswick gets it pretty regularly. I think ammo is coming back, but some people (with good reason) are still a bit paranoid and are hoarding which is why it leaves the shelves so fast. I go about 1-2x a month to replenish what I shoot and I almost always see the same cats waiting for the boxes to be opened Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. eBay is notorious for price gouging. I don't mind spending a few extra dollars to support local, but I'm not paying double for a mag from someone I don't know and who may be in it for just the money. Tony hooked me up with a couple, if I feel like I need more in a couple months he's the first one I'll go back to, I want to keep my money local and with good people Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. You could always get a membership at Ft Dix too if you really wanted to shoot rifle. I'm more of a handgun guy, and having a range 10 minutes from my house that I can access 24/7 and bring guests too for practically nothing is perfect for me. I also don't have 900 bucks to pay for my first year at CJRPC (600 initiation + 300 yearly dues). Seems like a great club and awesome group of people, just stuck in an anti-gun town in an anti-gun state. On another note... Anyone worried that this snow storm is going to impact the meeting again? They're calling for 8-12" around here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Awesome, you're about an hour from me. What are your hours tomorrow? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Also go to your local Dicks (even though it's heresy to some people) and ask them what day they get their trucks in. Go within the first half hour on that day and you might get lucky (or you can just call ahead and ask what they got in). Yesterday I was lucky enough to get a 2000 round Plano box of Winchester for 114.99. They got 4 or 8 of them in and I bought the last one at 9:20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I bought an M&p 22 from a forum vendor that came standard with one mag. I've been trying to find some extra mags online but haven't had any luck. One place had them in stock but wanted over 50 bucks a piece. Has anyone seen these locally anywhere? I don't care about taking a drive on a Saturday but only having one mag to feed really slows me down. Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The 5 round rule is weird because it is self imposed by the club, since it was founded as a target shooting club and adheres to the old school rules. I think they would appeal to more folks if they lifted that rule, but none the less its convenience by location makes up for that rule for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Don't worry man, we'll take you shooting. We don't want you to get rusty! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
