I can vouch for Arlo Pro's, very nice cameras.

How awful if True. They should sue the attorneys and the Brady Campaign at this point.

Thanks all!!

I expected as much, I respect the vehiment opposition to the idea, but just airing an opinion.

I have to say, gun rentals are a horrible idea. Between people renting to commit suicide and accidental issues, not sure it's a practice that should continue.
I know it's no applicable to the current situation and I'll get heat, but IMO - the only people that should be able to rent a gun are FID holders.

I work with a fellow who lives in Middlesex as well - He got hit with an $1100 sewer bill. People are going bananas over it, seems this was all very poorly instituted.

I got Andersons for $49 each from Heritage guild. Single NICS for both.

I know a corrections officer that was jacked up for having 30 round AR mags. He had a negligent discharge while cleaning one of his weapons and the police responded to call from a neighbor. They took his AR and his 30 round mags.

That is NOT an exemption for personal firearms. LEO's have to follow the law like everyone else. An cop that tries that and risks his job is an idiot.

Anyone get any good deals from Effingers? I rode by a couple weeks ago and the parking lot was like a mad house, I just turned around and went home.

If you need that money in your lifetime, precious metals are probably not a good idea, they can be part of your overall portfolio, but never dump too much into them, they are not the sure thing that "prepper" types want you to believe.
Metals can sink and stay low for generations, just look at any long term chart on metals. Your kids or grand kids may appreciate it, if you are OK with that.

A couple of Sundays ago my 2 oldest step-daughters were home for the weekend, so I took the 3 of them plus my wife. It was the girls' first time shooting. The owner stopped us in the parking lot and asked if he could take their picture and post it on FB. Cute pic!
Well that's good to hear!

That place seems to have an image problem, everyone I talk to says screw that place - they are only interested in cops as customers.
I have to say - it's easy to make that assumption looking at their website.

That's not bad. They were high if they thought that people were going to pay their original rates.
I'll have to stop by there soon.

I bet the property taxes are insane...
It's a goodwill store now if I'm not mistaken.

That's cool, must be nice to move and keep your job and seniority, etc etc.
Hope it works out for you!

Games on PC are much better.
Seeing as how a console costs as much as a decent graphics card, hardly anything to brag about.
PC gamers are jackasses for building a 3500 PC to get slightly better graphics than a console.

Ray's on 22 a few years ago as well.
Effingers always sucked, their prices were insane. I'm sure they decided they can make more money renting that building out - they own it.

The cop shows up, sees you looking sheepish, sees a guy writhing on the floor or dead. How is the officer to have any inkling that the shooting was lawful?
"Did you fire the shot?"
"I invoke my 5th Amendment rights."
"Did he break in?"
"I invoke my 5th Amendment rights."
"Did you know him?"
"I invoke my 5th Amendment rights."
A cop in a bad mood that day could very well assume the situation was fishy and arrest you. At that point you can add $5000 to your legal bill if -- if -- you can get your lawyer up at 1:30 in the morning. Plus you'll need to post bail, which for a homicide will be on the brisk side.
There must be something you can say that's like a get out of jail free card. "I was awakened about 15 minutes ago by the sound of an intruder (someone breaking in , walking around downstairs, opening the cabinets). He attacked me. I shot him with my legal handgun. I henceforth invoke my 5th Amendment rights. Any further communication between us must involve my attorney."
I don't see anything in that statement that could possibly be used against anyone but the perp. And it immediately gets the cops off your back.
This is the kind of info that all pro-2A organizations should post and distribute. Why don't they?
Any lawyers feel like chiming in?
You have ZERO chance of avoiding a legal situation if you shoot someone in most states in the US.
In NJ - no matter what the circumstance, you will likely be arrested and zealously prosecuted. I'm a big believer in NEVER EVER giving the police ANYTHING they can use against you. Speak through your lawyer only.

I have heard some people say negative things about them, I love that place.
Everyone seem nice, and it's like a museum with all the classic stuff they have, I really enjoy every time I go there.

Most cops I know are not fit to carry by the time they retire. They should be subject to the same laws as everyone else.

TTC Disappointment
in Ranges & Gun Shops
Posted
Wow - pretty disappointing. I'm a member there and I enjoy shooting at their range. It's definitely too small to do anything but plink and have fun with a rifle, but the fact that they bragged about 50bmg and then wont let anyone is false advertising. I've recommended the range to a few people and told them that very story, that they can accommodate a 50 if they wanted to.
I do get the sense they have some growing pains there and are a bit disorganized or disinterested in people for anything beyond their money.
