  1. Might wanna put some electrical tape on the light pick up. (Just leave a small portion exposed to where you can just barely see the reticule) If your outside and have the whole bar uncovered you'll be blinded by the reticule brightness. Just a little advice from a trained squad designated marksman.
  2. Was just looking at info online about the M&P and I gotta say I'm a little disappointed with the lack of magazine capacity on anything but 9mm, I'll keep poking my head around to see what's out there however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I've never thought about that last part (racking the slide with the grip safety) I'm not 100% dead set on the XD. However I would prefer a .45 or .40. I don't want a 9mm (not yet anyway) as I've shot that for years in the army and consider it a weak and ineffectual round regardless of its world wide availability. I'm not usually a fan of Glock but that doesn't mean I wouldn't purchase one. To be honest I've never shot the M&P. I do intend on "test driving" a lot of handguns. To include the XD before I make a final decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This has helped me immensely. The only concern I have now is I heard from a friend that the slides on the XD can be difficult to rack. Is this true? Is it an issue of breaking a new one in (which isn't an issue ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Tough call. I've been in the military police corps for some time now and the sidearm is our primary weapon. At first I want to say a .45 however, I can not overlook the added benefits of a .40 for the only reason of it being less bulky and lighter but without sacrificing too much stoping power. Bit of a chin scratcher really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Pending my permits coming in I was thinking of picking up, first and foremost a Springfield .45 ACP 4 inch full XD® Full Size Model with Thumb Safety. Does anyone here have this or one similar and how to you like it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Was searching for estimated time lengths it usual takes to get FID and PP in my town. Google dumped me here and I happy joined minutes later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Lol yea I'll find a better picture to go along with my user name. Also even tho staying 11 more years in the guard is über tempting with the way the world and our country are going, I think I'm gonna pass for the sake of my newly started family and my own sanity. 9. Hello everyone, Just joined as I'm finally getting off my lazy butt and getting my FID and pistol permits (hopefully soon, we shall see what kind of turn around time I get). Been target shooting for years (Was in the NRA Junior Marksmanship program from around 14-18 years old) and have been in the NJARNG for the last 9 years (just about done with that). Well thats enough about me. Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself to eveyone. I look foward to being apart of this community.
