that said, buy a conversion for a glock or 320 and have the best of all worlds! use a rds and bam, all set
Parts are available for replacement and not that expensive, it is not meant to be gun for thousand of rounds to shot for this price.

Nothing could beat $370 I paid for Sub2000 right before corona, yes it is not as superb as mine CZ Scorpion or Beretta CX4, but I am getting into target same as accurate as both of them while using my Glock 17 mags. Tons of mods and improvements are available, you could make it better anyway you like. Yes, you could fold it in NJ! All you need is to pin this nut on barrel and 10 rounds mags.

Just talked to my friends from Illinois's, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and even Massachusetts over Zello gun lover group and non of these states are having such Nics delays as we do currently. 5 days is insane! People are buying guns in min, yes same tons of new people there and lines and no ammo. Is there some purpose behind all these delays? To make us angry and unhappy about this state even more?

I finally got my electronic permits, took couple of days less than two month in total. It never took more than one month before, last December it was 7 business days.

On my set of E-permits I didn't receive any e-mails after the one notifying me that the criminal background check had been completed - just a notification from my PD to come in and pay for the permits.
Adios,
Pizza Bob
Same, 10 days after I paid and nothing from this system. Should I ask my FFL to try to search for them in Nic's? Why should we suffer so much?

I paid for permits about two weeks ago and still nothing after that, price is the same $2 per permit. Girl said since there is no more paper permits you have to wait for email from us, I said what is left and she said - nothing, just wait for email. It is two weeks since, really painful process as for me... Should I get email saying your permits are ready? What is going on really?

I got response from police via email today ( Nov 6): "I am working on end of Aug permits now, so you are looking for another 2-3 month of waiting, I am at highest processing speed....". So, they are overloaded with tons of work, it is sad.

I am surprised of no any standard in days at all, besides minimal work which is left for police to do in compare to before.

Thanks, folks please provide covid period permits timing only. Also, time on how long it took before covid.

And what was before covid time?

I told her I still need a Luger P08, a Wildey and an AMT Automag. Then I will stop buying guns!
Tell me about too many guns I got nice Berrtta 92x performance and it is already waiting for me in my FFL I need permit!

Interesting, our country is without ammo and guns in stores, NICS taking 3-4 days and now we can't get permits for 50 days. Jeez, this state is s...!!!!

what they actually should do there besides signature of police chief? Print permits?

4 hours ago, JohnnyB said:Woodbury PD has had my my approved permits since 9-11. That's 51 days now! I have gone there twice to complain. They are a pro 2A department, or so the say! After my 2nd complaint I finally got a call from the detective who said they are flooded with permit requests and that my paperwork was approved on 10-10 and they have been sitting on the Chief's desk in a big pile just waiting for his signature!
This is bullshit!
Thanks, what was your normal wait time before all this covid cra..?

Hi,
I am at Franklyn township, applied online for permits 15 days ago, got couple of emails from the system that both references got processed and background check is completed and now my permits are in process of local police. Since oct 17, nothing after that. Called twice there and nobody is picking their phone. Are they even working in building or remote these days? It took 10 days total in December last year, I am worry it might be something covid related that will take forever. Any news on this?
Thanks!

I am in Franklyn Township, it is over 10 days already and I am not sure if it is normal these crazy days. Last year it took 7days before Christmas here, very quick. Anyone from Franklyn sent for pistol permits while covid?
-
I think whole point of Other in NJ is shorter carbine, 12" is OK but I got 10.5 Troy first and 12 by LWRC/piston second

We are teetering on potential societal collapse...pay whatever you can, to get whatever you think you may need to help you survive..
Or if this is just a thread where i wanna plink and ammo costs too.much...whambulance... you should have stacked it high and deep when cheap....
Well you need to practice if you are serious gun owner, that means no meter how deep is your stock of cheap ammo currently is, you might get to the point of 0 in stock. Yes if we are just yapping on forums instead of going to the range it is fine to stay with just 1k of ammo under your bad.

Not really, many places with tons of AK related ammo. Not 223.

One of the local gun shop owners responded and said their shelves are pretty bare and they've heard the same from other gun stores / FFLs in their network.
The original poster said the 10/22 price was $300! I paid $100 For mine three years ago.
Yes what you remember is all gone or become 3 times more expensive, I saw Keltec Sub 2000 up to $1000 already on gunbroker, funny...

I am at big question on buying other firearm at this point, thousands already been sold in NJ made by Troy, LWRC etc. What will happen if ATF will ban braces?
