  1. Good point. I don't NEED to sell it, but I thought I'd at least see what's needed by a buyer if I was going to sell. I totally go back and forth with it every time I think about it.
  2. I totally planned to but then every weekend something has been going on with family, so I haven't had the chance. And as excited as I was when I got it, now I'm kinda blah about the whole thing. At this rate it'll be fall before I get the chance.
  3. Obviously I know how to sell it, I put it up for sale and someone buys it. What I mean is what kind of paperwork would be needed? I know with a handgun you need the p2p and blah blah, but what about a long gun/AR? A month ago I bought a S&W m&p sport 2 NJ compliant....and it's just sitting in my closet, never been fired. Got ammo, a case, extra 10 Rd mag, but haven't shot it, so I was kicking around the thought of maybe selling it. Which brings up a whole other issue...do i really want to even sell it or should I just hold it until whenever just in case we can't buy them anymore. So confusing.
  4. Saw this just now in August so maybe you're not even looking for a CZ or maybe you found one by now, but I've got mine at Cheyenne Mountain Outfitters in Bordentown on route 130. I got my SP-01 there and they had a shelf full of: SP-01 (tactical and shadow models), the p01, p07 (9mm and .40), p09, a stainless 75, and I think a 75B. I personally have been looking for the 75 Compact and my brother told me just yesterday he was in there for their big sale going on and they had it, so I called and reserved one over the phone last night right before they closed. So if you don't mind the drive that could be a good place to go. Also, CZ's website had a list of "authorized dealers"....punch in your zip code and radius and stores will come up that sell CZ's. Obviously stock will vary store to store but that's why I went to Cheyenne Mountain in the 1st place because they popped up on the list and were the closest store to me within 30 miles or whatever. Glad I did.
  5. Since I started this post I feel bad that I couldn't get there....my mom came up from Florida so it was all family all weekend. So i'll be definitely shooting for the one in October! I wasn't dying to buy anything other than ammo and I had just restocked online, but it would have been cool to handle some different guns that I don't get to see at the local gun stores.
  6. Everything was extremely well packaged and I think this is my new go to ammo place. A+
  7. FedEx tracking shows delivered at 11am....so less than 3 days from order to delivery. Will check out packaging when I get home.
  8. Just a quick update on Defender. Placed my order Tuesday about 2pm....had to send my docs and I was approved by 3pm. So in checking the tracking, it's out on a FedEx truck for delivery to me today. So far big big plusses for these guys, hopefully the box arrives intact and I'll be sure to report back on that. S&B 9mm 124gr.....50 ct for $11.34, so 1000 was $226 (they didn't offer a bulk 1000 for sale, I had to buy 20 boxes of 50). $9.99 for FedEx shipping....even though I selected "3-7" business days at checkout. It tracked on a truck the same day I ordered it and here we are 3 business days later and I should have it today. In comparison, I usually use SGAmmo who is $219 for 1000 of the same but charges about $13 for shipping....so that's basically a wash between the 2 companies. Defender had some .38 special and .357 magnums that I ordered too and that stuff was cheaper than SGAmmo, so that put Defender ahead. Plus, Defender had everything that I wanted in stock, whereas SGAmmo seems to always be out of stock of what I want. I also use Bulkammo but they currently have the same S&B for $18 a box which would come to $360 for 1000 (they don't have any cases right now...but a case of 115 grain they do have and that's $234) and BA is like $16 for shipping if I remember right. So just sitting bored at work and thought I'd update the post. So far Defender Outdoors is pretty damn good.....like I said, when I get home from work my box should be there and I'll see how the packaging is and report back.
  9. Well I love ammo and BBQ sauce, so I'll have to stop by to get some too!
  10. Yea I've heard of places asking for the papers but this was the 1st time I had to do my drivers license. Bulkammo was just my FID, SGAmmo was nothing at all, and Defender wanted both the FID and DL. On a plus side, I sent Defender my info yesterday around 2pm and I was "approved" within the hour. My order which I had selected the shipping to be "3-7 business days" for $9.99 was already picked up by FedEx and the tracking shows that I will have it on Friday. So far it seems like these guys are a-ok. Will keep y'all posted with progress.
  11. Agreed. They have a bunch of 5 star Yelp reviews so I'm giving them a try. I'll post back when the stuff comes. So far they needed a copy of my FID and dr. Lic. to process my order
  12. Saw that...like $232 1000 rounds for member price. I got it at Defender for $226 for 1000. Ended up doing Defender because they had some .38 and .357 that i wanted that was cheaper than SG so I went with them. Hopefully they're ok!
  13. Hey all, just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences ordering online with Defender Outdoors out of Ft Worth TX? I'm looking at ammoseek.com and they have one of the best prices that I've seen for the 9mm range ammo that I use (Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ) and figured why not place an order. I usually use SGAmmo.com and Bulkammo.com but SG is sold out and Bulk has boxes of 50 but almost $18 a box.....Defender has them for just over $11 a box, and this is pretty much right on par with SG's price when they have it in stock. So am I going to be the guinea pig or does anyone have any reviews of Defender? Thanks!
  14. Then those are the 1st guys to yell and complain when people stop buying from their store and only shop online.
  15. I saw that one listed too.....probably go to both, especially this week if it's going to rain all day Saturday. Good tip on getting there early, didn't think they'd be so ballsy to raise prices as the day goes on but I guess they can do whatever they want.
  16. I don't "need" it but another 3 or 4 trips to the range and then I'll need more range ammo. I'm good with home defense rounds for everything, it would be just to stock up on more cases of cheapo range stuff. I think walking around there checking things out could be fun, and if it is indeed going to rain then I'll probably head on over since the day will be shot anyway. The only thing that gets me is that I'm a "want it now so I'm gonna buy it" kind of guy....so I see my range ammo out of stock on the bulk sites that I use, I get all antsy and start jonesing for more ammo, so I was thinking that at the show I'd have my instant gratification. I ususally buy from SGAmmo.com and bulkammo.com......I've seen a couple of sites that have the ammo I use but have no experience with them so I dunno if I should try them (Ammunition Supply Company and Defender Outdoors). I use Sellier and Bellot 124grain FMJ in 9mm for my CZ's, so that's what I try to get in my bulk orders.
  17. Morning all. Saw that the Oaks PA gun show is this coming weekend with 1000 tables. All I'd really be looking for would be ammo, but I'm wondering if it's worth the drive just for that. By the time I spend money on gas, tolls and admission, am I better off just ordering from one of the bulk companies online? The problem with that is waiting for them to get what I use back in stock, whereas at the show I'm sure I can pick up the ammo from somebody without having to maybe wait weeks til my stuff is back in stock online. I still have ammo (notice I didn't say "plenty of ammo") but I need to restock and I'm sure it would be fun to handle all the guns too but ammo is my main goal. Thoughts or experiences? Thanks!

    Mods please delete
  19. P01 is aluminum though, for some reason I love the steel gun, that's why I was leaning towards the 75 compact. I'm sure I can't go wrong either way.
  20. And after all my reading on the 'net and people's input, I might go with the CZ 75 compact instead (and stay with 9mm), I have the CZ SP-01 and love it like crazy, so my next trip to a store I'll have to handle the 75 compact and see what I think. And then there's a Walther....... This is impossible!!

    CZ 2075 Rami

Wow...seems like I've read online from other people exactly what you're saying. So after reading lots of bad I started looking at the CZ 75 compact.....and I'm thinking that's the way to go instead of the Rami. You said you have a 75 and it's reliable, and seems to jive with everything I've read...people love them. And being reliable is exactly what someone needs if they're going to have a CCW. My SP-01 feels great, shoots great....I can't say enough good things about it, so instead of looking outside the family for a CCW, I want to stay in the CZ's and get something that has that same feel in my hand. Might officially be crossing the Rami off the list.

    CZ 2075 Rami

Hey all, so I have 1 more permit to use in this go around before I start the process to get more, and with this last one I wanted something that can be a CCW when the time comes. I was originally kicking around an Xds in .45 or the Glock 36 in same caliber, but in the interest of sticking to another 9mm, I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or experience with the CZ Rami. I have an SP-01 and love it, so I thought lets see if anyone owns the Rami and can let me know if it's worth it or should I stick with one of the .45's I mentioned? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  23. Funny, I was coming on here to ask who people order from by the case other than SGammo and bulkammo. I've ordered from both....SG is cheaper but is almost always out of stock of what I want and bulkammo has everything that I use in stock but is like $30-$40 more per case. And a box of 50 Gold Dot 9mm 124gr at SG is like $23 and bulkammo is $38....totally insane. That's not my range ammo, that's just an example of something I bought. So while yes I can wait for SG to get back in stock, I wanted to see the other options out there
  24. Went with the Smith, so I'm officially in the club.
