The dealer tried to play that "market adjustment" the other day with me... Sorry, Homie don't play that game.

the "market" is what deal you make.  So if the deal is MSRP, that is the market adjustment.  If the "market" cannot absorb the additional markup then its not a market adjustment.  Its all BS because then their argument is "well your trade in now is worth 25% more blah blah".

@gunforhire has also endorsed Rizzo, I believe they gave their endorsement pretty early on so RTSP isn't the only 2A-related group supporting him. (I'd give a link but the only thing I found in a quick search was an FB post)

Rizzo is a member there - he would have to endorse him

I remember it differently - Weinberg was addressing Anthony's/Sandy's comment that NJ legislators didn't contemplate whether their laws were unconstitutional before passing them; Weinberg said (paraphrasing) "they're constitutional until a court rules they aren't".

I stand corrected but you know what I meant.  (Many laws were have are poorly written - not only the gun ones)

  4. The way they are phrasing it reminds me of the current transportation lanugage.  When we go to the range you need to keep the gun separate from the ammo in a lock container or locked in the trunk.

On GFH Radio a couple years back, Anthony had Loretta Weinberg on the show and she virtually admitted they intentional write up the laws in ambiguous fashion and then let the courts decide what they should be.  This is not what the founding intended of course.

"The bill requires the legal owner of a firearm to store or secure a firearm that is not in use, unloaded, in a gun safe or securely locked box or container. Downey said it also mandates that the legal owner of the firearm store the ammunition separately in a securely locked box or container."

Please define "not in use" in the home?  The whole logic of this law is flawed and just moronic.  If i bought a gun for self defense at home and the ammo is not readily available why even have one? Just ridiculous.

I would rather that he be unequivocal on it frankly. Too many times we are told things to "manage our expectations". The reality is the only way we will see carry is if SCOTUS  lands on our side and at that point the conversation about going from under 1000 to some other number is moot. I understand that he's walking a tight rope because there are plenty of people in NJ that don't support it. I see it as a constitutional issue not subject to ebb and flow of what a segment of the population feels at any given moment in time. That is the whole point of a Constitutional Republic.

I will absolutely vote for the Republican winner of the primary whoever it is. The most important thing is for people to actually vote. Republicans stayed at home during the last Gubernatorial election.

Turnout was under 38.5% ridiculously low.  If all the gun owners had shown up, we would have won easily.

  7. just got back from the range and tried out the cmmg 22lr in my ar.

went through 200 rds.  I think it worked great (felt like i was shooting nerf rounds but it was fun nonetheless lol)

at approximately 20 yards it was very accurate. I recommend it.

(next i need try out my kimber 1911 22lr conversion slide kit hehe)

00 buck shots about $1/ round these days. keep us posted after yer range day!

Range update (its great being a gold member... 3 mins wait for me, 2 hours for everyone else but I digress lol)

    1) Jamming: for the record, I was cycling "new old stock" i had of Winchester 2.75 rifled slugs x50 rounds.  It was betting this time.  I think its a combo of "breaking it in", the shell size, lubricating and just "learning" it.  If you pull back the action handle with a steady speed its fine or when you are super fast.  You cant be "limp" about it.  Like i said, its getting better.  I was able to get through the entire x5 round mag with less issues this time.

    2) Accuracy: I zeroed a vortex red dot and a green laser at ~15 yards (did it in my basement so i am guessing).  At 10-15 yards at the range it was very accurate!   I had brought my own target and stuck some adhesive red dots on it.  I dont have a photo, but I sware I hit one dead on and the shot took the entire red marker out while leaving the exact same size hole in its place.  I didnt try farther because this is more close quarters self-defense type sg.  My mav 88 with 28" barrel is for longer distances.

Overall, i think its more of getting "used" to it.

    Hope this helps.

Have you put any more rounds on it or oiled to see any improvements or waiting till it gets warmer?

Have not had a chance to try it out.  I lubricated it as much as required.  I might visit GFH tomorrow and try it out.  The only thing holding me back is the cost of the damn slugs.  I got a good inventory but as i try to replenish my stash,  the cost basis per slug round is going up hourly. ugh

Yeah?  Where are you going to move?  Have you seen what's happened to Colorado?  Texas and Arizona are moving left.  Florida?  Wherever you go, you're going to continue fighting an uphill battle.  Don't like 10 round magazines?  That's on the national slate now.  Don't like having your stocks pinned?  Same.  Don't like how long it takes to get a pistol permit?  Wait until the feds get involved.  Think the Second Amendment is under attack?  They all are.  Everywhere.

So, when you move and find the same thing, what you are prepared to do about it?

I know how politics work in NJ.  I was born here and had family DEEP:Y involved in Democrat politics over 40 years ago.  While we've had a few Republican governors, we haven't elected a Republican to the Senate in almost 50 years.

    So . . . move . . .

I cant agree more. I tell this to my relatives all the time.  Where do you think you want to move to? They all say NC. I am like "the cancer has already spread" throughout the country and in NC maybe worse.

I have so much vested interest on NJ its almost impossible for me to get uproot the familia move.   If all of "us" leave, who will be left to fight? It's our home too.

I hate to disappoint you guys, but the "last forgotten muscle car" is a lot newer than you think. Manufactured from 2014 to 2017 approximately 10K made, or about 2500 per year, I give you the Chevrolet SS...

    Chevy-SS.jpg

Most people have no idea what it even is, and those that notice the SS emblems invariably ask, "An SS what?" - Just an SS. Back in the muscle car hay day the SS was a Chevy trim line that could be added to various models. For the 2014 - 2017 car, it becomes a model name. Equipped with an LS3 engine, producing 415 HP and 415 Lb-Ft it came with a 6 spd automatic and later a 6 spd manual trans. Aside from the trans, the only options available were a sunroof and a full-size spare.

This is truly the last muscle car.

    Adios,

    Pizza Bob

PS: Yes I know that it is a re-badged Australian Holden Commodore, but Holden is no more also - so truly the last.

I will have to 1up you on this. I owned an ever more rare "SS" or rather its predecessor (until an idiot almost killed me stopped at a traffic light and the car got totaled but anyway) : the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP - 1738 of 1829 ever produced.  I like the SS but the Pontiac bells and whistles on the Commodore is so much cooler looking.  When you have the car in 2nd gear and hit the pedal to get to 60 mph, you could feel the Gs glue you to your seat.  I miss that car....
