I actually find the fried chicken from Acme to be better than KFC! I like Popeyes but they seem to vary significantly in quality from location to location. I actually think the chicken sandwiches from Wendy's are better than Chick-Fil-A. The problem with hood chicken is more often than I like it leaves you praying to the porcelain throne, either top or bottom with some bacteria growth of an undetermined origin!

The thing is, you douse it enough Yi Pin hot sauce packets that it begins to work as a disinfectant!

  2. https://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2018/07/your_dollars_can_be_used_to_buy_back_guns_in_this.html

Let's say someone really wanted to be a jackass. And this thing is in September.

What's to stop a person or persons from hanging around outside the buyback, and offering more cash than the county is?

Maybe a good way to pick some interesting antiques at a bargain?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Also, in before "Nappen says buybacks are illegal" I know, I know, I'm referring to a person or persons hosting their own "buyback" nearby.

  3. The article is short on details, and likely intentionally.

If you look closely the semi-autos don't even have muzzle devices, I would bet dollars to donuts every single one of those guns is NJ neutered, the "high capacity" magazines are epoxied 15s, every one of those handguns was from a P2P.

Perfect test case for the unconstitutionality of cosmetic-feature based gun bans. No victim, no crime.

  4. Cool so when can someone challenge the NY SAFE Act, NJ AWB, etc. or other such nonsense on these grounds?

Seems like the three young guys from NJ who just got arrested after accidentally crossing a few hundred feet over the NY border while target shooting would be a fantastic case for us to get behind. Their NJ legal guns are being called assault weapons, their handguns illegal, etc. They're facing ridiculously massive charges. A good way to get cosmetic-feature based laws and their idiocy taken apart in court.

I don't know anyone at the orgs but is there someone who can reach out to them and get this story out?

  5. Before you go pinning the muzzle brakes....

    Don't.....

You don't HAVE to pin the brake on the PC9, so why bother? A flash hider is much more useful because a 9mm rifle isn't kicking to begin with. But even if you want to keep a brake on it, just leave it normal so you can always change your mind is try a different brake.

Plenty of scrap metal to practice welding on. Maybe make some cool lawn ornaments instead?

As for the Saiga, that thing is a collector's item now. They got banned from import ~2012 and the prices surged. Don't bubba it up or damage it IMO, not worth it. Seriously check out the prices for an unmolested Saiga these days.

If you DO want to make that S-12 run smooth as butter, you can look into having the gas ports expanded, the action polished, and the rear trunion padded. There are some gunsmiths (and Bubbas) doing this work and have competition guns that just spit Walmart birdshot all day without issue, really nice work if you're looking to do anything to an S-12.

I firmly believe that some of these questions are deliberately posed to draw out and expose those who would post stupid things about us and our stuff. Much like they do with kids and pervs.

It's possible, yes, but the reality is that for most people in most of the country, guns really aren't a big deal. You buy one for self defense, or fun, or hunting, and it's just another object you own. The majority of gun owners aren't bigtime enthusiasts, activists, etc. In fact the only times you meet people who know all the ins and outs of gun laws tend to just be in states like NJ, NY, CA etc.

You are misquoting the bill. What you've quoted is for semi auto rifles.

Here's the list of evil features for semi auto handguns:

    (c)

a semiautomatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least one of the following characteristics:

    (vi) a shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned;

So does that mean if I put a barrel shroud on a pistol BUT, say, incorporate some kind of heating coil on it that it gets hot and DOES burn my off hand, that it is then legal?
