  1. Naw, I got the P22 Target Black

Next up will be higher caliber rifles. I'm debating staying with S&W since I love my 15-22 so much. I'm thinking the M&P 15 in 5.56 and something like their T/C LRR 308 Winchester for bigger caliber/distance. I'm open to persuasion to try something else though.

  2. The question is, will your wife allow you to shoot her guns?

Yes, but I have my own permit and possession of the rifle. Also bought a pistol a few weeks ago. Walther P22.

  3. New range opening this month (Hopefully). Absecon, NJ. Opening was drastically delayed, I'm guessing probably permit stuff but I don't really know.

Two indoor ranges. A 25 yard pistol/rimfire range and a 100 yard rifle range. Target system will be digital so you can set the exact distance you want.

    Decent hours. 9am-9pm Mon-Sat and 9am-6pm Sun.

    Huge show room.

I can't wait! Anyone else planning on checking it out once it opens?

  4. Four movies already out.

The Purge - Eh, typical thriller movie.Nothing crazy.

The Purge: Anarchy - Meh. Not shocked by how things went. Probably how it'd happen in real life.

The Purge: Election Year - Actually half decent. Exactly how I'd expect things to go.

The First Purge - The prequel. Probably my favorite of the four. Basically outlines EXACTLY how and why this would occur. Most realistic of them all.

thats horrible..  I guess the water looked shallow enough to get by.

how does insurance handle those kinds of situations?

hope it all works out for you guys

Sometimes when it's pouring rain and it's dark out, you just can't see that kind of thing until it's too late. The water's clear enough that it looks like road and it's slick enough that you can't always stop fast enough.

Sucks, silverado, that you and your wife have to spend the time dealing with this. At least the insurance didn't draw it out to a long, painful process. Sometimes they just surprise you like that and it's all straightforward.

The Bible is the number one selling book of all time, the most translated book, Christianity has the most followers in the world, Things like that don’t happen by mistake. Guaranteed the liberal spaghetti god or whatever they like to say will never obtain .01% of the followers Jesus Christ has nor will ever sell even .01% of the amount of books the Bible has.

If only there was some kind of reasonable explanation for that. Something like being one of the first versions of major religion giving it more time to spread than other religions? Christians got a few hundred years head start with their stories. People having been massacring the Jews for millennia so that kind of knocked down their numbers. Islam started in the 600s and didn't reach Europe until almost 700 AD. Could have a lot to do with blind luck. Could have a lot to do with Christians spending a lot of time in history trying to literally kill off other religions through violence.

I am Anti Bad Cops and Cops who protect the Blue Wall and wont call out the bad cops. BlueLineFish said it himself every department knows who the bad apples are. Well if that is the case why are they still allowed to stay in the profession, and make all cops look bad? To protect that Blue Wall? BS those days are over.

Finally, we fully agree on something. I have nothing against the police. I just have problems with police who abuse their powers and police who blindly back them up.

Absolutely. When the police start questioning you, they are NOT on your side.

they just want a scan of your FID now,

on the order form you can request unmarked over package.

They must send it out the door as soon as I hit the "place order" button as it it here in a day or two.

I get my 5000 rounds tomorrow (It was given to FedEx today and should be here end of day tomorrow). I'll take a pic of the discreet packaging.

    Ain't that something?

And @Greenday since you seem to be newish to the gun game, let me offer this piece of unsolicited advice; everytime there's a school mass shooting panic driven shortages and price increases set in.

We are now at pre SandyHook price levels. It doesn't take a lot work to find brass 9MM for about 17c/round. Federal even had a rebate program sometime ago that lowered the cost to 13c/14c. That same ammo was 28c/30c in early 2013 if you could find any and that was the biggest issue. Between the hoarders and resellers camping outside the walmart before opening time, there was no ammo to be had.

The market, now, is awash with ammo. It's time to stack it deep and wide. Get a few surplus ammo cans and fill them up to the brim. It's will last years.

    Don't be caught short.

That I have noticed. Also when Democrats get elected gun sales spike for the short term. Found some good sales so I stocked up yesterday.

You can get 5K minimags for about 300.00 shipped. That lowers a bit your cost/round.

Golden bullets are dirty and have the occasional FTF but not to the frequency that causes an issue. Just rotate the cartridge so the pin strikes an different area and you are good to go.

Minimags  and gold feed equally as well on my 10-22 and P22. As Krdshrk says the bullet is lose in the casing but that never causes an issue either.

I've shot thousands of each and only prefer the minimags because they are cleaner.

Thanks for this. Looks like I'll be good on ammo for a little bit.

I see more merit in a .22 conversion vs  another gun in your situation. That being said; we have a dedicated.22. But it’s only brought out for newbs. I’m not sure what doctrine you’re ranging under.. HD, fun, trolling etc. But for practical practice, practice on the weapon you’ll need/use

Well, living in NJ, I can't conceal carry because only cops and criminals are allowed to do that. We mainly just like target shooting. I want to be prepared for other possibilities which is why I want to get higher caliber rifles. I'm thinking 5.56 or 7.62 as they are super common and ammo will be easier to come by.
