For Hamilton/Mercer peeps ( @GodStrength @bennj), I just spoke to the court clerk, who was very nice. My references were never contacted, which I knew, so the court is sending a note back to the township to see if it was done, and if not, to do it. On the plus side he said, "other than that you are good to go." What that means time-wise once the township corrects their mistake is anyone's guess.

FWIW, this also just happened to my father in Burlington County. Incompetence? Intentional?

Where in BurlCo is your father?

Is anyone aware of permits being issued in Camden County?

I know it's listed as green; however, no one I know has received theirs as of yet.

I am 98 days in - 49 of them in the court.

Yes. Friend in Camden County got at the end of last week.

I like it so far so good,  its eaten  everything I fed it including my reloads without a problem . I really like the trigger, crisp and clean for a striker fired gun . Dont like the 10rd mags , no place for the pinky finger, size 18 ring fingers . I've ordered a couple 13 rounders (blocked) should give me more grip space .

Where are you getting the blocked mags from?

8/1  may have got the last one but give them a call I was just in there Monday  i could swear I saw another one in the case

You got one? How do you like it? Reviews are stellar, but hard to find one to purchase, not to mention rent.

if proof of ownership is the only criteria needed on the permit,  your shouldn't need to Pay to physically qualify with anymore than one handgun. and then just list any other guns  you can show proof of ownership for.   The state has a record already of the purchase...they granted you permission to buy it in the first place.   Multiple qualifications with similar handguns is absurd and costly.  The way I read the law...as long as you own it, you can carry it.

Sure. But then courts have been adding restrictions. Specifically, the courts have been restricting you to only the guns you qualify on.

Gun for Hire Gun store at the Woodland Park range lists one in their inventory .  I would call first to confirm.

Great. Thank you. Ideally, I'm looking for a place closer to South Jersey, but will try GFH if I must.

  7. I'm hearing that concealed carry permits are being handled differently by judges in each county: some require a court appearance, some are "restricting" permits to guns you've qualified on. Can we share experiences so we know what to expect in a given county? Anyone know what's happening in Camden & Burlington Counties?

If you're not having any luck finding a place, and you're willing to take a drive up to the Lakewood area on a weeknight, then get in touch with me and I'll be your "buddy" for an evening so you can rent at the Weshoot range.

I'm always looking for an excuse to go to the range.

    I appreciate that. Thank you!

  9. I am in process of getting my firearms license and handgun purchase permits—I get fingerprinted next week, and a few days later I happen to be taking a USCCA course to be able to carry. With the new legislation passed, is there going to be a problem getting my firearms license? I did the online application and it didn't ask about courses, etc. Any guesses?
