Thanks guys for sharing your setup.
I am thinking of buying this table. The legs are rated 3000 lbs. I think the 1 3/4" Maple top should be quite sturdy and will not flex ... I can always add a layer of plywood underneath and bolt it together if needed.

He is giving up for the wrong reasons. He is clearly not from NJ, sounds more like PA ... yet he is not renewing, because he is waiting for his full 2A rights handed on a platter! Ain't gonna happen on its own.
He is naive when it comes to the whole legal system, not just the laws and statutes on the books, thinking that all 2A rights will be cleanly protected, no ifs and buts. Most laws/statutes are not black or white, they are ambiguous (by design) and more often than not subject to interpretation by the public, the judges and even the jury (which can be easily confused!) They shouldn't be, but that's the reality. Mindless laws get on the books when some idiot has an idea (or has nothing better to do) and it passes for several reasons, one of which is the gross incompetence by the ones voting on it without thorough review. Laws designed by committee is another common consequence, since "opinions are like a**-h*** and everybody has one".
To make matters worse, add to that the misinterpretations and at times blantantly authoritarian and misguided enforcement by LEOs. Wrongful arrest suits be damned. Lawyers of course thrive on this like vultures.
On a related note, since LEOs are not going to "serve and protect" the public (we have evidence of this; they should get out of the way), this makes a strong case for the right to self-defense / carry open or concealed, castle doctrine, and over arching 2A. Yes, even in NJ!

Whatcha got? Do you have the rounded magazine release? If there's one issue I have with the 19s is that the magazine release scratches the base of my trigger finger.
He is going to be ordering some parts, so as he said if you want it at cost + shipping, send him your list.

How the interstate highway system changed the landscape of America; created the suburbs (e.g., Levittown in NYC, etc.) but also caused the side effect, by-passed by the highway, on existing small towns without entry-exits off of the highways. All this happened starting 1956.

Wow amazing. I am very jealous. Want one...
Jimmy, your avatar is bothering me! Too animated GIF, perhaps!? Not at all sexy with a flag in front! Is that a woman or a man?
I love (female) boobs of course, but the avatar is grating my brain as I see it ...
Please use a different avatar and spare me the agony! Thank you.

For the press, at a minimum at least 3 inches of wood.
Can you cover the carpet? the big issue that I see is when you spill stuff.
3" of wood? Seems overkill. I have a 1.5" particle board table top and that's rated for 350lbs! I think that should suffice ...
I can cover the carpet, sure, but walking to/from the table will generate static ... so, I want a system that will work, always. Can't have a Ka boom in the basement! Kinda, like the static wrist-straps working on computer equipment. I had come across roll mats that are grounded, have to look again ...

There is a Harbor Freight like 2 miles down the road from me. Ironically, I have known about them for a while.....but just made my way into one of them about 3 months ago. $10 for a heat gun that gets up to 1000 degrees!!! Store is awesome....although I usually use Craftsmen whenever I need tools. Thats still a good pick up though!
I used to buy craftsmen tools too (with lifetime guaranty, etc.), but their prices are ridiculously high for most products and service is terrible at Sears. They used to source locally and from Germany, Canada, etc., and now made in China! Go figure.

I don't have a .40 yet. The .40 is a rimless cartrige which seems more natural to a Simi-auto pistol. How does it stay in the chamber if it has no rim?
http://www.gunpundit.com/1487.php
I was looking at this picture and I don't understand how the rimless .40's don't just fall through the chambers when you point it down.
A rimless cartridge doesn't mean it doesn't have a rim, just that the rim doesn't protrude out beyond the diameter at the base of the case. Without a rim, the cartridge can't be ejected out of a handgun. True rimless cartridges you will find are usually on belts (also rimmed ones), among other contraptions.

I guess I bet get the the .net and .org just in case. Yes, do that. I had a similar issue.
Wonder if we have any infringement suit potentially.... what they are doing is not illegal, but close enough domain name to take them out by a suit - worth a shot. Free publicity doesn't hurt. Contact the NRA lawyers, I say!

The Brady Campaign has registered these domains and have redirects to their own website hahahaha
This seems implausible. have any evidence of this?

You can also use a regular can opener. It's just gonna be tougher to open.
You are joking right!? that tin can is quite tough! I am taking a chisel to it ...

I have a Kukhri as well. Cheap one for playing around with. It's decently sharp though - I can sharpen it even more.
Khukri's are a blade (usually curved) associated with the Gurkhas (today's Nepal), but as you can imagine, there are variations of blades in many parts of India.
The part of India where I come from (350 Km, south-east of Bombay), the Maratha's use this.
Here's an example. These would be the 15-17th century CCW weapons of the Maratha's. In my family, we had several samples.

This is a silly question, but the tin opener that came with the Mosin ammo broke on first use! The flat edge that goes under the fold on the side broke.
I was tempted to use a cutting wheel, but that will create some sparks, so want to avoid that!
What else can I use that will pop open that bad boy!?

A long awaited project is finally taking shape. Just cleared out (er, organized) the basement!!
My plan is to set it up in the basement with an exhaust fan. Not sure yet if I want to cast bullets ... The setup will be on a strong computer desk with drawers underneath. Now buying parts and accessories ... will be buying a Dillon 650. (I know some of you will recommend a non-progressive, but I prefer to splurge once!)
I have a carpet in my basement, so I need some mechanism to drain static ... any gadget ideas? I have seen people use a flat metal sheet on the carpet that's connected to main ground, though not sure if that actually works!?
Since I am just starting out, I would like to see pics of your setup to get ideas.
Oh, I definitely need a vertical storage / cabinet at the rear of the table. Ideally, metal, lockable, so I can store primers, powder, etc.

Don't have a link for this kit, but the one in Iselin had them. I am sure you will find them at other locations or you can do a rain-check (but that's iffy).
HF look for store locations.

It won't last long against zombies. I had one for the yard and the little plastic tabs that hold the grip together pop out. making the grip loose and uncomfortable.
I know, Ray. Just bought it for fun. Worth 5 bux anyway. If it comes loose, replace with a wood grip ... or glue the plastic grip w/ crazy glue or something!
-
I think this was $15. Comes with .22, .357, .40 and .45 for handguns, .22, .30 and .270 for rifles, 12, 18, 20 GA for shotguns. + bunch of swabs and what look like brass rods! Good spare kit ...
Comes in a plastic case.
-
$5 machete at HF! Blade is quite sharp. Comes in a nylon sheath.
Come on zombies!!
-
Junkmanted, thanks for the suggestion!
18" bolt cutter from HF, on sale for $8.99; I just noticed you have a 24" ... I am sure that's better leverage, but I will try the 18".
3/16" Rivets, steel shank - aluminum coated.
-
Dont tap it theres not enuff steel for it to hold !
Pick up a cheep pair of bolt cutters and make a rivet tool ! If you do it just make sure its in line with the top of the receiver.
And you can find the plate on Ebay for 10.00
I just looked at the receiver, it's formed from steel plates, it's not a milled one (thicker) ... so you are right, tapping will not work.
Not sure what you mean Pick up a cheep pair of bolt cutters and make a rivet tool. I was thinking of getting a heavy-duty riveting tool at HF?
Would a 3/16" riveter be good enough or need larger?
btw. I bought the plate for 7.50.
