  1. My mutt of a dog named Tonka. I rescued him in September of 07. He is two years old, definitely has some Pit in him, also some shepherd too. Caught him messing up my bed. Riding shotgun in the '73 Challenger. Random pic.
  2. Thanks! I Added pics to my introduction thread!
  3. All said and done she was almost three bills.
  4. Thanks everyone! Yeah, its in decent shape, once its gone over thoroughly I will get it to the range and see how well she shoots. Ive got some learning to do about it. I am not sure the history on it, I would love to find out, however that is probably impossible! I bought it from Harry's Army Navy in Robbinsville.
  5. Well, I can officially add my first weapon on here. I picked up a K98k Mauser today. Could not resist it, picked this over a Remington 870 today. here are the pictures. This one still has some of the German markings on it.
  6. I just got back, the Mauser 98 that I wanted to buy was sold, however I found another one at a Local Army/Navy store and picked it up. It came down between a new Remington 870 and the 98, so the 98 came home with me. I will take some pictures once I get back home.
  7. Its funny, I have today off and as I was getting ready this morning (one of my stops being the PD to speak with them down there) I got a phone call that my FID card was ready. I will be picking it up in a little while, and maybe beginning my search for my first rifle.
  8. I called a few times with the same response that it was under review still, and was told they would call me when they were ready. Unfortunately for the past 7 months I have been working insane hours and rarely get a day off when I have free time so getting over there when the PD is open is impossible.
  9. I live in North Hanover, right outside of Ft. Dix.
  10. Thanks everyone! I kinda figured it would take a while, but I hope it comes through soon. Glad to see there are a bunch of people from close by too!
  11. If you guys want, a friend of mine knows the owner of On Target Paintball down in Pemberton NJ...If you want to set something up, Im sure we could talk with the owner and see if we can get some prices from them. Its a good place, I have played there a bunch!
  12. I am a mopar guy too, dont worry. Ive got a few Mopars laying around, and working on a few with my dad. The Chevelle is obviously a 64, but its a true SS convertible. 327 (.030 over w/speed-pro pistons, voodoo cam, 2.02 Dart heads, Performer RPM intake manifold, Holley 750 DP, Hooker Competition headers through a custom exhaust, and some other goodies) 4speed with a 12bolt w/ 4:10s. I have owned it for 10 years now. I bought it when I was 13, I asked my dad if I made the money, if I could buy the car...so I cut grass like a maniac and bought it for $700 as a rolling chassis. I got it done a few years ago, wiped a TH 350-tossed another one in, got bored and went with a 4speed. I love it now. That picture was taken just in May this year, down in Ocean City Maryland for the big car show. Gtonut, I am interested in hearing about the 67! My dad owns a 68 convertible that we are going to start on soon. Where was this? Its an okay job, I enjoy it sometimes, its a job
  13. Chad, thanks for the welcome. I posted a little about myself in there. Its probably for the best right now that I have not gotten it back, it has given me a chance to save some money and start to fix up a truck I bought to daily drive, and hopefully when I get the FID I can have enough money to pick up something nice.
  14. I live in North Hanover, just outside of Ft. Dix and McGuire AFB. Was looking around online for anywhere that could tell me why my FID card is taking so long, and if this is normal and stumbled across this site. I put in for it 6 months ago, and I am still getting the run around when I call. Im 24, work currently doing security, while I look for a career. I have never owned any firearms, however I visit my uncle in Maine where we shoot his arsenal of WWII weapons (M1 Carbine, Garand, M1911, Mauser K98, as well as his AR, AK, and whatever else he has picked up recently.) I do a bit of trap shooting in my area, and plan on joining the Ft. Dix range once I pick up something. I will be looking for a shotgun first, and eventually a Garand or a K98 of my own. Other than that, I look forward to learning from this site (there is alot of reading for the next few weeks for me on here) Have a good one, Jon
  15. I put my papers in back in early January, and still have not gotten my FID card. I call the PD and they say its still not complete. I think I am going to stop by there and see what the deal is.
