  1. Well I like to bang my girl friend so keeping things in that area protected from simunitions is a priorty for me. This is really directed to those in the previous thread but come on out.
  2. Not a problem, we should have extras.
  3. June 11th Start time 1000hrs At USANA Bring an airsoft gun if you have one Requirements: [deleted] Mouth guard Cup Safety Glassss (paintball mask prefered) No prize table here guys just education as a reward.
  4. Okay pick the day: June 11th or June 18th 1200hrs
  5. They have all ready made it clear they plan to "cheat" this "game". I'm ready meet the challenge head on...
  6. Vlad: I will order more green gas for the airsoft gun I have and see if i can wrangle up one or two more. I'll be in touch to set up a date. And I don't know where this Force of Force turned into a challenge/competition... I clearly stated that the tactics used in USPSA will get you killed if in a gun fight. It's proven you fall back to your training/experience in situations of high stress. So lets put it to a test.
  7. The stress of competition will never match that of a gun fight or even a force on force senario. You are failing, yet again, to grasp the point multiple people have made...
  8. Yes and reverting back a skillset other than gun games, will be better for you. When you enter a stress environment your fine motor skills deteriorate and you get tunnel vision, blood rushes to your head and a slew of sympathetic nervous system reactions. The most important factors IMHO involve gross motor movements. Look up point shooting... that is very realistic to an actually pistol based scenario for most of us.
  9. I don't know how many times it has to be repeated. The muscle memory from matches will get you killed. Doing the accepted practices from uspsa or wherever will result in you laying motionless on the ground. This of course is assuming you own guns for self protection and not just competition. I'll offer again. Come to the shoot house and run it as if it were a uspsa match. It will be an eye opener for you.
  10. The things done in competitions are tactically unsound and not safe for use on a battlefield/gunfight. There are so many variables involved in a gun fight why deal with the hypothetical and deal with facts. You shoot XYZ type of matches following xyz rules and common practices. Now go use those techniques/rules/common practices in a Force on Force evolution and you'll see the error in those ways. When under stress you will revert to your training. If your training is to do X then you will do X. If X is what is done at a USPSA match then that is what you WILL do when the situation gets hairy. Vlad, I have an airsoft g19 and some paintball masks, access to a "shoot house" and some free time. If you want to come down I will show you how it will get you killed with airsoft.
  11. A PM would have been more appropriate to ask about my credentials then saying i'm an ar15.com/m4carbine.net internet commando. I'm glad you utilize critical thinking skills when attempting to call someone out rather making assumptions with no factual basis... My rational is that it's true; but being as your background is only in the competition world you wouldn't understand/know that. (nice attempt at an insult - that i can't hit what i aim at) Send me a video of one of your matches and i'll make a list with times for when tactically unsound things happen.
  12. Roger, so your poser police position is based on your gun gammer status/experience. I figured as much. I just wanted to know where YOU were coming from calling ME out. I am not bashing competitive shooters, they just do things in matches that would get you killed in real life. Many gammers don't understand/see that. That being said, I have/will continue to shoot IDPA/USPSA matches in the future, they are fun just not that realistic.
  13. Now that you know I'm not just an Internet commando, What is your background? I don't know if a person can call another a "poser" unless they have done something themself.
  14. Try the troy front sights or a fixed DD front. Congrats on the new stick!
  15. Send me your cv and I'll send you mine. US Army and hundreds of hours of professional firearms instruction by nationally renowned instructors.
  16. Everyone is entitled to make their own opinions about people's mindset and tools. There is more to it that this is a gamer gun or a "tool". It seems there is an over abundance of people in this thread that aren't "turned on"(read mindset) and we will never be able to see eye to eye.
  17. All the data was collected using the same chrono, same Day, and whitin minutes of each other. This is clear facts not conjecture. I nearly providing imperical data, refute it if you want, but provide your own data not "seems low", makes you sound like a troll. I'll pm you a link to the AR-5.com thread about it if you want.
  18. The question of over penetration was brought up. My contention is that in order of priority we should worry about: 1. Stopping the threat (winning) 2. Everything else Because anything in priority 2 is of no consequence if you are dead. editing for spelling because I went to public school.
  19. If the time comes when i need to flip the selector from safe to fire the layers of drywall and plywood the bullet may go through is the LEAST of my concerns. First priority of a gun fight, WIN Second priority everything else...
  20. It's lighter and easier to shoulder/carry. I have carried longer (A2) rifles in training and when the option is there I'll take a shorter lighter one. I own guns to defend myself/family/property... And a shorter rifle allows me to do that more effectively. What is the disadvantage?
  21. Some random choro data that I was apart of for collection. This was of course in PA. One of my rifles was the 14.5 (with perm attached to 16")
  22. They are actually manageable indoors. The added barrel length does little for you,(look at the actual velocity gain) but it all depends on the ARs purpose. To me short and light rule the day for a "combative" carbine.
  23. This is a private forum, your freedom of speech doesn't apply here. You CAN be censored...
  24. You need to understand the purpose of a "pocket" gun. Re: LCP not having sights...it has bump at the end of the muzzle. It works. As tactical monkey said... it's a get the fugg off me pistol. Close/Contact distance. That being said I can make head shots with one at 15yds which is all I can ask for. Also LCP is uber reliable and have never seen either of my two friends LCPs jammed/FTF.
