Always wear them when at the range , 30 years of working construction without using hearing protection has taken its toll,but funny thing is when you are hunting and the adrenaline takes over , you hardly even notice the shot.

According to the website a general meeting is scheduled for 10/15 , no time or location is listed , however their is a name and phone number listed.

A union wouldn't really help. Since the around the time our current president. was elected once a month at sign up Sunday they probably have a minimum 50 new members sign up. that's a conservative estimate as some times there are many more. they got money coming in hand over fist. a few disgruntled members wouldn't mean crap to them

There is a BOD , apparently the members have no say in decisions that affect the club. Ive talked to quite a few members since yesterday and by at least a 5 to 1 margin they are against the camera's. granted its a very small sample that my results are born from.

The difference is I pay good money to be a member , just as everyone else , we are the club , they didnt even ask us for our opinions.

ha! first off it was another guy who made the claim , and yeah I agreed , this thread is typical of the eat your own mentality of a lot of so-called freedom loving gun owners. I would imagine that area right off Canistear is watershed , although the actual pipeline cut may have been purchased by the Tennessee Pipeline company , also some of that area of Highland Lakes from Canistear across to to rt 515 is privately owned .

Depends , the deer are there , its a matter of finding them . There is plenty of land to hunt , problem is once guys see your truck park in a particular area a few times , they start hunting there themselves.

For the record , CR is about 2 miles from my home ,I remeber shooting next to at least one of you guys in the past. I also belong to another range about 10 minutes away, also private with only about 150 members . I spend a lot of money between the two , partly because I want to support the gun community and pass the sport down to my son and daughter and hopefully grandkids someday, there is really no good reason for someone to pay for memberships to two ranges 10 minutes from each other, but I do. I stated my displeasure on this subject and typically which is normal we eat our own. The gun community as a whole will never get anywhere until we stick together, Im not talking about this issue that I brought up , but in general as a whole we are not very united. Some of you make some good points , others not so good. Didnt look to start a flame war , but so be it. Im no tin-foil hat wearing anti-gov radical , I just enjoy shooting , I dont enjoy shooting in front of a camera , unless its mine. My choice , my wallet .

Not NJ specific, Ive read his books and articles over the years and he spends lots of time on the legal ramifications of self defense , there were several articles recently (within the last 6 months or so) in Combat Handgun magazine I believe!
