Let me guess as a newcomer here, the "other site" represents either AR15.com or NJCSD. Either of them are known to be anti-LEO. Other than here, I've been at M4Carbine.net for years. Great information, great people, no bashing or bullshit like that allowed. As a non-LEO I will say that such mentality ruins a forum.

Absolutely correct. Of course, the stupidity and arrogance factor should compensate somehow. Sure accidents happen, but this one was ugly from the beginning.

Interesting. Then one must wonder...what are the most common criteria for CCW acceptance here then? I was told one could be obtained for taking business funds to the bank or other specific situations. Any truth to this? Any other, more viable options to pursue perhaps?

I was impressed with not just the article, but of course also the venue. It almost had to be seen on their homepage to be believed. The headline was like something from a bizarre dream: "Record numbers now licensed to pack heat Firearms deaths fall as millions obtain permits to carry concealed guns" Wasn't perfect, but I'll take it from those dopes all things considered.

Something tells me there are a few details missing here. And $200 to carry in NJ would be menial at worst.
