    CNJFO Fishing Charter Social

    September 10, 2023

Miss Michele III - Point Pleasant, NJ

Ahoy there Patriots! As you’re all likely aware some of us enjoy things other than firearms. I know, I know…take a moment. It’s OK to admit this. I’m among you, and I also enjoy fishing; therefore I’m excited to announce that we are now booking the 2023 CNJFO Saltwater Fishing Social!

We are scheduled to board the Miss Michele III at 6:00 am (SHARP!!) from the docks of Pt. Pleasant, NJ for an eight (8) hour tour off the coast for wreck fishing and blue fishing. We will target what’s the most promising catch. The trip includes all required gear, bait, and mates for support. I’ve been on this boat for a few cruises, and always have a great time. This is a family trip, so we encourage you to bring the kids, wives, husbands, and other family members and friends.

The 65’ Miss Michele III is our host for the day. The boat will be chartered by CNJFO and open only to our group. CNJFO will provide lunch, hoagies and all the fixings with soft drinks and water available. You may bring your own beer and wine; no hard alcohol is permitted on board.

Tickets will be limited to twenty five (25) people, at $160 per person. This is a fundraising event, so the ticket price covers the cost of the charter, tip for the mates, lunch, and soft drinks for the day, and a little extra to help fund our mission to educate our community about the firearms safety, liberty, and lifestyle. Raffles and 50/50 will take places while we’re at sea. Register at link below:

Please plan to arrive by 5:30 am: 415 Broadway (Behind Spike's Fish Market) Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

    Directions

It’s VERY important to emphasize that the boat will shove off at 6:00 am sharp – the Captain and crew have a job to do, there are cruises that follow ours and keeping on schedule is very important. Please plan to arrive at the dock to load at least 30 minutes prior to our departure time. We will return to port at 2:00 pm.

Please note that all boarding pass sales are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they are transferable. Due to the outlay to cover the costs involved in this adventure, we must secure all twenty-five (25) seats.  You may notify us at any time prior to departure of a change of passenger information. If your ticket is not resold or transferred, it will not be refunded. You may also donate the ticket towards another party on our waiting list.

Yeah, that was us.  I had a feeling something like that would happen.  I feel bad not canceling and freeing a spot another child could have taken.  I had hoped she would be ok once we got there.  Unfortunately that didn’t happen.

Anyway, hope the event went well and everyone else had a good time.

No problem!  Went fairly smoothly.  29 kids so we were pretty full house.

The Youth Day was today at Union Hill.  I hope it went well, it looked like quite the crowd.    I had signed up my Daughter but after driving an hour to get there she saw all the people and noped out of there.   She got overwhelmed so we drive the hour home.

I’m disappointed we couldn’t participate as I was excited to expose her to things.   She did say afterwards she would have done it if there were fewer people.. maybe if I find something more 1:1.  Idk.

Again, hope the event well well.. I recognized a few names from here.

Oh you guys were the ones that came and left... Sorry she wasn't feeling it.  Youth shoots are generally pretty hectic, unfortunately.

  4. I've got sets of HL Impact Sport, Walkers Razor, and Axil Tracker.

The Tracker are very comfortable and very good quality hearing pro.  They're a bit chunkier than the HL Impact Sport and Walkers Razor, but the ear pads are much more comfortable.  Noise cancellation is good and the electronic noise cancellation is on par with the Howard Leights.  Walker Razors aren't as good for the ENC - the sound cuts out more dramatically and doesn't come back as quickly.

I got my set of Axil Trackers for free from SIG Media day this past January - I'm still using them now as my primary muffs.

Any fellow brothers of the leaf here?  If so what do you smoke/pair it with and what lounge do you frequent (Backyard or porch applies)?  I'm an 8 year member at Mane Street Cigars in Woodbridge, which is a very friendly 2A shop with loads of cops and ex-military.  I've been into the hobby since 2008.

Lots of us are... We have a Cigar meet & greet coming up at The Cigar Social in Freehold on the 17th.  https://www.cnjfo.com/event-5336927

    Stroke

Apparently Oliver was admitted to hospital on Monday 7/31.  Why were we not notified that our acting gov was sent to hospital for an ongoing health situation on Monday?  It only became a story after she expired.

I'm liking stroke related to C19 jabs more and more.

I did see an article about her being hospitalized

Would it matter if I put this on a different rifle of a different caliber? It doesn't seem to be just for a 5.56 rifle. I know some reticle have markings that will handle bullet drop and windage based on caliber but I don't see anything saying that's the case here.

With scopes like this, do you have to just generally learn the holds from shooting it a million times since there are no markings?

The dots are markings for drop and windage.
