  1. JJ is a USPSA shooter. He lives in North Jersey.
  2. Buy a Glock. Easy to operate, modify, and the accessories are endless. I have a G17 which I purchased used several years ago. I changed a few parts on it, and use it for HD and USPSA.
  3. 9mm "major" basically a 9mm round loaded long (1.165 minimum OAL) with enough powder to make major power factor (8.4 grains of HS-6 with a small rifle primer and a 124 gr head) travels at about 1520-1550 feet per second, makes about 175 power factor
  4. Good match, hot as hell! Rain at the end of the match was nice. Good to meet and shoot with Huntingpaper. I felt like I shot like shit, but I still placed 8th overall. Maybe more of you guys would come to the matches.
  5. Here is video of me and voodooodaddy rapid firing at a uspsa match at Shongum ronhonda voodoodaddy .
  6. ohh, okay. There were 3 guys in your port next to me right? Dude, you where shootin race guns!!!! Chinese? I thought you were Korean! Is there anything else to shoot other than race guns?
  7. I'll be there. If you want to find me, I have a blue Dodge Dakota, and should arrive @ 845-9am.
  8. Yes that was me with the Flyer hat on, voodoodaddy was wearing a Black Tippman shirt. We were shooting in the same port.
  9. Funny, I asked the range dude if I could rapid fire the Mosin! Chris, eff that place. There's a reason alot of people here complain about them. I didn't know they jerked you on the price, too. A box of ammo or a free mag would've at least been a nice jesture. Thanks for coming out everyone! jahlove, damnyankee, krdshrk, imperialfish, voodoodaddy, MJP, robot_hell, and ChrisJM981 (who did I miss?)! First time firing my Mosin and HELL YEAH! She is a beast! I like that Mosin. I need a big boom factor. I'm surprised they let you shoot it indoors though. You need to bring that up to Cherry Ridge. Ray I think I saw RonHonda in the shop as well. I wasn't feeling very sociable so I didn't introduce myself. Is Carlo on the forum? I don't know his handle if he is. He has some sweet H&Ks. I can't wait to get mine. No problem.
  10. Well Ray just picked up his Mosin, so he wanted to test fire it. I brought mine along too for some extra fun. Also getting nice groupings with iron sights is nice Ok I understand you want to test fire it, but it's 23 yards!
  11. Yeah it was me who got yelled at. Shooting 1 second splits is not fast. I have a hard time having to shoot slow. It was nice meeting a few of you guys. Chris, feel your pain having to wait a long time for them to find your box. Saw you standing there with a look of pure misery on your face. Other than targets, I never and will never, ever buy anything from them. There are many other places that will treat the customer a lot better. Pretty crowded and hot last night. Also what's the deal with the Mosin's? With no offense to anyone, but why would you want to shoot that rifle indoors and at under 25 yards? Just seemed like overkill for a small indoor range. I much rather shoot that outdoors and at some distance.
  12. Actually, I'd like to chat with you about USPSA if we get a few minutes. I'll have my backup Production gun with me. I'll be there early and wearing the Devils cap. Sure, that would be great.
  13. If things go as planned, I will be attending. If you don't know me, I'll be the stocky fellow wearing a black Flyers hat.
  14. Which RO? RO was the younger of the two who were there. Dark hair - didn't get his name. I don't want to give the wrong impression, he was friendly and polite. I probably shot 7 aimed rounds with the PM9 in 7+ seconds or so - not really rapid. He told me that 'double taps' were OK but that there had to be a pause after each. I didn't ask about Mozambique's since I'd already been told not to shoot at the head of the target unless I was a LEO. I didn't bother trying to explain to him that 6 aimed shots in half my time would be rapid fire. I hadn't thought about it because one of their people (I assume one of their's since he was wearing a 'Gun for Hire' t-shirt) had been firing fast when i got there and while I was loading mags. He was firing faster then I did later. As an aside, what a stupid name. If you ran around in a t-shirt like that in everyday life and ever had to shoot someone in self defense, any DA would have a ball with you in court. From the signs about not shooting the lights, etc., I can only assume that they get a bunch of AH's and beginners in there as well as competent shooters. There were 2 guys one lane over from me who told me they were new to shooting and asked me a few questions. They weren't AH's at all but very nice young guys. They just need to get some competent instruction and they'll be fine. All they need to learn is stance, presentation, grip, sighting and trigger control and they'll become good competent shooters. They want to learn but I guess whoever sold them their guns didn't explain stuff like that to them. I felt badly for them that they were just blasting without a plan or learning agenda. /rant off. So let me get this straight because I have not been to BH in a few years. You can't rapid fire and you can't shoot at the head of a target unless you are LEO? Could someone explain to me why? Because when I go to the range to shoot/practice, I tend to shoot in fast and when I shoot for accuracy, I shoot for groups (increasing my speed as I go) and the groups are all over the target (including the "head" area) And is it really a head shot, when all you are doing is shooting at a small area near the top of the target.
  15. I would like to go and meet some of you guys, but I can't make it tonight. But when I do I'll be sure to bring some of my toys. Ranging from a STI open gun, Brazos limited gun, Trojan single stack 45, Nowlin single stack .40 s&w, or an early G17 that has some work done to it. No safe queens here, just shooters.
  16. +1 same here, what skills are going to be taught? general items that will be discussed?
  17. Lodi, via Paramus and Bergenfield.
