  1. I have for sale an Armag Corporation explosive-proof magazine. They market it and call it a “magazine” but it’s basically a top-opening cabinet like a gangbox style. This thing is...AWESOME. It’s made of extremely thick steel and sits on a steel dolly with caster wheels so you can wheel it around very easily. Has steel covering the lockable hasps to prevent the locks from being cut/blown apart. It weighs 150lbs plus another 20/30lbs with the dolly. It is type 2 explosion proof and type 3 explosion proof when removed from the dolly. Perfect for guns, ammo, confidential documents, etc. It will even look cool sitting in your gun room!

I put a drill inside just to give some reference of the size. You could fit a ton of ammo in this thing and not have to worry about it.

$1200 cash obo. Must pick this up near Bridgewater or meet me, I won’t deliver sorry. Please be sure you want it as I’d rather not lug this thing around only for you to say no thanks.

that's a good deal but I'm stocked up on 5.56 although, hard to pass up

Stocked up? We know that's not true! You can always use more, remember...

I'm tired of rebates, especially when they don't get honored. Ammo has been at a record low now for a while that i refuse to deal with rebates just for a few bucks saved.

$699? WOW.  I paid I think it was $950 or $1000 10 years ago or so... and that was with discounts.

And yes, really awesome shooter... the most fun I had with it was shooting polymer bullet ammo.  Wow, talk about awesome.  If anyone wants to shoot it, and in the Western NJ, Eastern PA area, let me know.

Actually I don't think it's a Pro. Sorry. Nice nonetheless.

  4. I believe it was Grabagun that just had a ridiculous sale on s&w 1911 pro series ...I wanna say they were $699. The Pro series are IMO one of the nicest 1911s you can buy under a grand.

Springfield Range Officer is a great bang for the buck.

  5. MRE's, under desperation, will get the job done but I never found them tasty..like, at all.

I'd suggest buying any of the freezedried backpacking food from brands like Mtnhouse and Backpackers Pantry. If you served some of their food like the beef stroganoff to someone without telling them what it was, they would think you actually cooked it at home. Most of their meals are yummy except the eggs are weird. May cost more but I'd much rather eat something that tastes good versus cheap and gross.

  6. Plenty of much better, higher quality options out there.

But yet people who do not research the guns they buy will continue buying these as they did the previous garbage. That's Century's biggest customer base, unknowledgeable and uninformed clientele.

Typically the, "I just bought this gun, what's everyone's experiences with it." Maybe you should ask that question BEFORE you purchase it.

Some 22lr was selling for as little as 3 cents/rd on sale well before black Friday. The Republican presidency has depressed the price of ammo and guns, I dunno how much lower they can go with the BF sales on such items.

I'm hoping there will be some good sales on high ticket items like thermal optics.  Even a paltry 10% discount on a $4,000.00 scope is still $400.00 in savings.  A 20% discount would be tha cat's ass.

Yeah exactly my point. So far this week we saw $300 complete AR's, 9mm at $145 a case, high quality AR barrels half off....those are some ridiculous prices that I just can't see shooting down (pun hehe) any further.

I'd say 95% of gun- stuff consumers are buying things related to ammo, AR parts, and budget optics on BF. A very small percentage are looking at $4k optics or $3k AR's. If one can shell out the coin for a $4k scope, chances are that a few hundred bucks in discount isn't as big of a deal as say a $300 AR barrel for 150 bucks to another person.

I've seen some pretty good deals on ammo.  It's too soon for the really good deals on the interwebs.  Gotta wait for cyber monday.

Ehh I wouldn't hold your breath. If any better deals come out, I don't see them being that substantial. I like pre-sales because it's easier to snag items versus on BF or CM when sites crash from too much activity and things sell out in 5 seconds.

  9. Sounds like a good time. I wish I could have made it. I'd like to plan another one in a few weeks, let the temp drop a little more.

PP, do you think they got a call about your Shockwave? It sounded like they went straight to you when entering. Also, were they in all tac-gear? I had an encounter at another shootout with Officer Bryce or Bryson I believe. He was a decent guy, but was very stern that only hunting shotguns are allowed on the WMA ranges. They still let you shoot it?

Also, this is a good reason why [if we can] we don't usually have shootouts on FUDD day..I mean hunter training day. It never fails issues come up and it's always pertaining to those old cranks farts.

I've bought a couple of guns that did come home in butchers paper and string.  The guy at the gun shop wrapped it that way for me.   That was a long time ago though.

Sarco, to this day, will gladly put your long gun in a contractor garbage bag and fasten it with a tie-wrap. They call it the "NJ specialty".

  11. FTF was always the easiest option in terms of selling but now that we must got through an FFL, GunBroker/online may be an easier option IMO. Take good pics of gun, make an ad, receive payment, box it up and ship. It couldn't be any easier.

I'd still try selling them here on the marketplace first.

But I do think Murphy and the dem's will get what they wanted with this new law - a high percentage of gun owners no longer selling and buying between each other.

@AVB-AMG..... Are we changing this to the Bi-Annual NJGF shoot.....?  Waiting a year for the next one seems too long.

I actually enjoyed this so much that I thought I've already called a local range in my area to see if they'd be willing to allow us to do something similar there. The more the merrier right?

I have yet to hear back so I plan on calling tomorrow to speak with the event coordinator.

  13. Don't be such a pansy.

No seriously though, don't be such a pansy.

The finish of your pistol along with what material your holster is made of will always wear down finish though some combinations may take longer than others.

If it's really that big of a deal, I'd suggest buying a separate "holster gun" dedicated to holster work at the range and/or carry. That way you have your safe Queen that gets babied and you also have your holster gun that wears.

Just curious - What range? Shongum is holding a USPSA match on Saturday. If his class is there, it must be on the indoor range. Looking at the weather, the USPSA match might get rained out.

    Adios,

    Pizza Bob

No it's not Shongum, Bob. Afaik, it's a private range exclusively used for LEO training normally.

It should rain pretty good up until tomorrow morning but his type if class isn't one that cancels for weather. Plus it'll feel good getting some training done during wet conditions and some simulated stress!
