just wanted to say thanks for ALL of you who got a chance to show up last night, say hello and help me find my 1st handgun. the experience was priceless! never knew i would find such great people from the forum. i still cant believe it. i would have driven 5hrs instead of 2hrs to do it again! thanx again!

there were (2) people working in the store yday. i was MORE THAN PATIENT waiting for my turn and also had the saleswoman take care of the paying customers for the range. i was the one who told her to take care of the people who want to shoot 1st, and i waited w/out a problem. since i am new to all this, i didnt want to piss anyone off at a place i maybe shooting in the future. sad part is, i have a boss who is looking for two handguns & a friend who is looking for another. that could be 6 pistols and who knows how many rifles.

this is where im at. i have a big budget, but seems nobody wants a piece of the pie up here. i also need eye/ear protection, gun care accessories, targets, bullets, etc.

after talking to Tony, i think im gonna try to make it to BA tomorrow to meet you guys.

just wondering who is going to BA tomorrow?? i am planning on making the trip from NNJ. since im new to the forum/shooting, i was told this is the best way to meet you guys/girls and learn more about the sport. you can meet me too, -lol! i stopped in there once, but it was before i got my fid/pp.

i would consider going, just as a spectator. would definately split gas, lodging, etc. i dont mind the drive since i would love to get out of NJ & move to TX anyway. this way, i can see what i'd get myself into. drove from San Jose, CA back to NJ in 2 1/2 days!

semi-autos. i think the revolver will come AFTER my 1st three permits are used up. considering a G19 for my 1st gun, then P229 & last a .45. i was COMPLETELY disappointed being treated like a second class citzen @ the BH and walked out b4 looking @ another 9mm or a 45.

went to BH today, not interested in the LCR anymore, didnt feel right.

Like the title says.....WHY can't a newbie get any questions answered, advise or have someone EXPLAIN differences between pistols in north NJ. ex: Glock, Sig, HK, etc. (and thats BEFORE I get into revolvers). So far, the ONLY help I got was from Meltzers & SureShot b4 I got my PP. Unfortunately, its tough for me to get there because of my work schedule but Im gonna try again. For example, today I was even told that the Glock23 & the Sig229 was the same gun, just different manufacturers. -WTF! Can someone explain this to me? Its so damn frustrating thst the only help I get is from this forum, thanx guys!
