Ryan626 replied to mike's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Nice to meet you all at old bridge today. Had to leave early and didn't get to say goodbye to everyone as I didn't want to bother you all while you are getting ready to shoot. I just updated my display name to show my real name. Why didn't i do that to begin with?! Maybe I get to see you all at Shongum! @Ron - thanks for the cig. -

Ryan626 replied to average joe's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I paid $54.99. I was going to order them at Amazon but forgot to so decided to drive 10 mins to pick up one. -
You just helped it along! Kidding! Now just got to make time to go to the PD to apply.

Howard Leight hearing protectors
Ryan626 replied to average joe's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I just bought them at Ramsey Sporting Goods Monday and tried them at the Bullet Hole Meet up yesterday. I thought they provided great hearing protection and amplified conversations well. I'm very satisfied with it. Just my .2 cents. -
Thanks krdshk.

I had the stock backstrap that came with the gun which I believe is the bigger one.

It was a pleasure to meet you guys! Now I gotta get more permits as I got the 1911 bug in me.
-
Thanks Krdshrk! See you tonight. I should be wearing a black polo shirt with jeans, and I look Filipino!
-
I have a CZ 75 SP 01 Phantom you can try. Should be there by 7 pm.

New to the forum. I should make it at the Bullet Hole tonight before 7 pm. I'm a newbie and want to make sure I didn't mess up my SP01 Phantom by cleaning it following instructions from YouTube! Where do you guys meet up? Inside the range or in the store? Thanks.

Thanks for the offer.

I only have a 9mm cz. Do I need to have a rifle for this meet up? I am not a member of Fort Dix. If I don't need a rifle, then I'll probably make it. Sorry, new to the forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome redfish62 and njpilot!

NJ FID application data collection effort
Ryan626 replied to nott's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
I actually had a good experience at Bergenfield PD. 1. FID and 1 Pistol permit (newbie mistake!) 2. Bergenfield, NJ PD 3. Det. Boria - was pretty cool 4. 6 weeks exactly 5. Standard form 6. Notes: I spent 2 weeks before able to get a scheduled finger printing date from Saigan Morpho. Det. told me to call him once I've done the finger printing. 4 weeks later, I rec'd a mail stating I can pick up my FID and permit. -
Thank you all for the warm welcome. @ RayRay - My sister graduated '98. Maybe we to meet and shoot one day!

2x4 match Cherry Ridge 10/16/10
Ryan626 replied to ronhonda's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Thanks. That was helpful information. Me and a friend of mine might join, but can't really know until the week of the event. Although I only have a 9mm at the moment, I just want to try it. -
I love the way the phantom fits my hands and the way it looks. That's the reason I bought it. One thing I do hate about it so far is the trigger. There is a slight creep in the pull. I probably will have to get a trigger job from CZCustoms. Not that I have much experience but I thought the trigger on an M&P 9 Pro was a lot better. Sorry, will post pics soon.

Actually no, I just moved to Bergenfield 3 yrs ago because my wife is from here. I actually went to high school in Bayonne. Class of '96.

Hi All, Just want to say hello to everyone. Just got my handgun about 1 month ago. A CZ 75 SP01 Phantom in 9mm. I've been lurking this website and been reading as much as I can. Thanks to all about the informative post. Helps a newbie like me a lot!

2x4 match Cherry Ridge 10/16/10
Ryan626 replied to ronhonda's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Do you have to be a member of Cherry Ridge range to participate? Sorry if this is a dumb question as I am new to guns/firearms in general. So as I understand, the match is who ever can cut a 2x4 stake with a pistol? Thanks.
