Guys, I have searched, but could not find the answer to my question. I currently own an AR-15 that I purchased from an FFL. I would like to build my own at some point in the future and I am trying to be clear on the laws here in our great state. I would like to build something for longer range than the one i currently own and my question is about the muzzle device. If you are running a barrel longer than 16 inches, do you still have to have it permanently attached? From what I have read, it seems the only reason to have this done is for barrel length to be in accordance with the law. Again, sorry if this has been covered.

Just got two in myself today. I was told at the PD that it will definitely be a couple of months...sigh...and the wait begins. -
So...does this mean that all action movies with gun violence will also be cancelled? Someone better tell all the actors in hollywood to find a new career. Assholes.

Great gnus. I have the standard M&P.40. Love it!

Blueline, it would seem so. IDo you ever go to the PBA range on Sundays? I have been attending as much as I can and I try to go during the week at least once or twice too. The Rhino is alot of fun to shoot and I also want to buy another one in white with the 5 inch barrel...another expensive one though.

I appreciate the replies, fellas. The Scorpion is the Sig 1911 version as Blueline stated. I have a Springfield XDm in .45, an S&W M&P 40, a Chiappa Rhino 200 DS, High point 9mm carbine, Mossberg 500, and an RRA operator in 5.56. I have researched the FN for a long time and like what it can achieve. I planned to shoot up[ in PA at Easton fish and game, so that's not a problem, though it'd be nice to have a local option. I was recently considering the Remington 1911 at Casso's as well, but then decided that the 5.7 is what I wanted...then along came the Scorpion...sigh what to do? LOL For home defense, any one of my handguns would do the trick...or the shotty of course. LOL

I am submitting an app for another HG permit and had every intention of it going towards the FN 5.7. Well, I was in Casso's last week and saw the Scorpion...now I cannot decide between the two. I know it is apples and oranges, but I cannot decide between them...and no, I can't buy both.

Here are a few of mine to add...

I was thinking the same thing about the HD on those guns LOL. I haven't fired the magnum rounds yet, as they are not allowed at the local range. Hopefully this weekend I will get to PA and try it out.

I know it's ben a while, nbut I've had a lot going on since buying the Rhino. I finally got to the range with it and probably put 150 rounds through it. I couldn't be happier with the way it performs. As advertised on the recoil and in the right hands very accurate. One of the gentleman at the range took a shot with it and was able to cut a card in half at around 8 to 10 yards away. Much bettre shot than I am but it showed that the gun is dead on. I feel that it was well worth buying and I hope to geet back to shooting it soon. It certainly is a fun gun to shoot.

Hey everyone. I just purchased a set of these and was wondering about the installation process for a M&P 40. Is it worth it to instll them myself or should i find someone to do it for me? What should I pay if I go the latter route?
-
Ah, I see. That makes sense. Didn't know that you could have that work done and get a price quote online for it. Pretty cool.
-
Of course it is...silly me. One day that I might have some time to spare...oh well, maybe next week then.

Happy Holidays to you too! You went to shops in NJ that had non-compliant AR's??? As far aas I knew, manufacturers would not ship a non compliant gun to an store.
