Thanks guys. I know these are not cheap 1911s, but they are definitely number one in semi-customs. Internals, tooling, finish, and customer service to name a few of the reasons. I have sent a bunch of 1911s (WC, EB, & NHC) out to 3 different gunsmiths, and not just any gunsmith. Do'nt want to name any names. I sent my guns not for any problems that I noticed, but for upgrades (fluting, magwells, checkering, etc..) Each gunsmith bragged about the quality of that WC puts into their guns. That means alot to me. I will not lie, I can not tell any difference in accuracy between a CQB, Costa Recon, Supergrade, or Kobra. As for reliability, who knows, but I bet they are very close. Again, thanks for all the comments. You guys Rock

On some of my 1911s I like custom grips, being either some sort of ivory or exotic wood. Just personal preference and they def do not give a better grip. They just make the 1911 "pop". I call them presentation grips. Something to do when you get bored. Change the grips, and it looks like you have a different gun. Funny thing is a set of $300 grips on a 1K 1911 will make that 1911 look like a $3k gun. Just personal opinion. I do like the G-mascus grips that I ordered with them. Funny think is at the time, these were the only grips that had a flat bottom. I do not like grips that show the MSH pin, again personal preference. I just ordered a pair of Harrison carry groove grips for my EB which is going to be presentation stainless. I really like the looks of the Harrison grips on a stainless 1911. Here are the harrison ones https://shop.harrisoncustom.com/hd-303-ts-carry-groove-grips-square-bottom Here is one of my buddys EB with VZ's CF grips. These grips are not expensive, but makes his 1911 look sharp. Def good choice for a stainless 1911 http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=401987
  9. Once the seb gets broken in, it flips open with a flick of your thumb. They are still production knives. Nice production knives actually and good customer service. Grips can fire open like a rocket, but they develop blade play and other problems
  10. I have..The PT is pretty small, but a good worker. The SnG is the next one up in size, then the SMF I am not a Strider fan at all..I just dig the grinds Mick is able to put on them. I do not own any production striders..Not worth the price in my opinion because of the quality control issue. All of mine sucked, and you pretty much have to hand pick one. The customs are a different animal, but they are pricey. I would rather an RJ Martin any day than a MSC SnG..And they are about the same price
  11. This is a discontinued knife around or before 2007. Xikar is not in the knife business anymore. Blame it on the 1911 events. It def is not common and is limited/out of production. It is a mid production knife. That looks like a tactical model w g10/aluminum, but def is the military. They are a step above from benchmade and spyderco. I estimate they are about $175 since if new w box for the right collector. Almost def retail was $199 at the time. Difference in the models and prices are the scales/inserts, and of course blade material. My buddy had one with nice wood insert and damasteel with matching cigar cutter, pretty cool. Xikar facility is in Missouri who designed these knives. Gianni Pauletta( LionSteel) from Italy makes the knife. That gives me an idea...Matching 1911 grips/knife inserts/cigar cutter..all matching

    Thank you.
  13. That is exactly what I thought back then. I thought my $60 Blur blem was the sh!!. Then I drooled over a sebenza and thought to myself who the hell would spend that kind of money($400) on one. If you like knives, stay away from a custom show. Ask Topher, he got the fever. I think he even made one not too long ago. Best part of a nice custom is using it.

Out of all the ones I currently own, I do shoot them. Not alot, but I do. Such a pleasure to shoot. At first I was scared to, figure that one out??? Prob cause I thought I would lose too much money on them if I wanted to sell them. But to find out after a bunch of sales that I dreaded, it really doesnt matter that much with these 1911s. You get most of your money back. Thanks for the comment also. The only one I havent shot is the Heirloom Colt.

  18. Congrats on the PT. They arent the best, but if you can get one, why not. The WC knives dont do it for me, except for the CRK ones. They are my fav productions..Of course without the stamp and those stupid lock stabilizer discs..UGLY Know whats in my pocket right now??? Kershaw S30V BLUR
