  1. So could this be done with any state? If I fly to a course in NV with my handguns and decide to sell one of them can I just meet at a NV FFL and do the transfer their?
  2. I guess my question is: if it's legal in another state to buy through the mail, can I get in trouble for selling it through the mail because It's illegal in our state? Can I bring the airgun to another state and do a face-to-face there if it's legal in the other state? As an example, could I post it on craigslist in Pennsylvania, drive to Pennsylvania with the Crossman and do a face-to-face there or ship it to Pennsylvania via UPS without an FFL?
  3. I have a Crossman 600 BB gun that I like to sell, I know in New Jersey these are considered firearms and to do a face-to-face sale would require a pistol permit. Since they're not considered firearms federally, can I list this on gun broker and do a sale without an FFL being involved?
  4. Flown out of EWR several times with firearms....be sure to lock your slide back, a flag wouldnt hurt as the TSA are not allowed to touch your gun. I did not have TSA approved locks as they always taken me to the room and asked for the key, after they've shown me they relocked the case they return my key
  5. I've done it and recieved confirmation from Frontsight by both email and snail mail.......if your not comfortable, don't do it,,, I'm just trying to share a deal!
  6. The diamond membership allows you to attend any of their classes as often as you want without paying tuition. They do have a once a year background check for $50 and you have to supply Ammunition and firearms(You can rent firearms from them). I and my friends always purchased our ammunition online and had it shipped to the hotel we would be staying at. You can also buy ammunition at one of the local stores for about a dollar more per box than online prices (for 9mm and 9x18). For the four-day defensive handgun course you shoot about 600 rounds. Some of the classes have a prerequisite of other classes and some of the classes you have to have a distinguished graduate level as a prerequisite. I took the same class twice which was a four-day defensive handgun class where you trained to draw from concealment and place a controlled pair to the thoracic cavity in under 2 seconds from 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 yards. the total list of courses that they offer can be found here: http://www.frontsight.com/Courses.asp the best description that I found for the front sight training was written at this blog: http://johntreed.com...ourse/#more-626 The thing that I found the most amazing about the training was that in our class we had individuals who had never held a handgun before ,a Marine sniper, two Los Angeles policeman, and people who had taken the class four times previously. Everyone left stating how great the training was despite where they started. In closing, the following link is a page that was put up by someone who's collecting reviews of front sight: http://www.guntraini...ent-review.html the diamond membership also gives you a 40% discount at their Pro shop and a free hat. This is the link for the front sight diamond membership description: http://www.frontsigh...-membership.asp
  7. First let me start by saying I have no affiliation with Front Sight and I'd rather this not turn into a debate as to whether supporting Front sight is equivalent to supporting the devil. I merely post this because I've been to Front Sight several times with various individuals (some who had taken Massad Ayoob training previously) and we all found training to be quite good. The last time I was at Front Sight I met someone who was selling diamond memberships for $250. I purchased one and have received confirmation from Front Sight that the membership has been transferred into my account. I also verified with front sight that the individual is authorized to sell his diamond memberships and they verified that he had purchased a bunch of them. The individual recently e-mailed me stating that he had diamond memberships left and that if I knew anyone who was interested I should forward him their name and E-mail address. If anyone is interested in purchasing a diamond membership e-mail me your name and e-mail address and I'll forward it to him. I am not selling the memberships,I am not getting a cut of the $250, I am merely referring you to someone who has the memberships for sale and I have found out to be legitimate because I thought it was a good deal and I thought I would share. My e-mail is [email protected]
  8. So A bolt actin can have a magazine greater than 15? How about a CO2 gun {semi-auto}?
  9. Since in the PRNJ BB guns are considered firearms does that mean they an only hold 15 BBs legally or is there an excemption?
  10. Thank You. PS Love GFH Radio....I save 3 episodes every month for my Ft Dix trip for weekend duty for Army Reserve support.
  11. This is for the fingerprinting and photos which are necessary for the application ...you still need the training and the Cabela's class doesn't do the fingerprinting.
  12. 13 spots are left for the CCW processing on Jan 11th but registration is closed...are walk-ins allowed or can we still register somehow.....I just received my NJ2AS membership card on the 31st. and didn't want to sign up before I had proof of membership.
  13. I have the answer as to why LEO's get the great discount...... as stated by Tri-County Tactical on RTSP's Facebook page "Great new Police-owned range in Randolph NJ!!" Mystery solved!
  14. I seriously doubt their insurance company asked how many of the shooter would be LEOs , accountants, lawyers ect. If anything the potential range use for Leo's is higher than the public since they have to qualify on a regular basis and a discount to them would be more costly than someone who doesn't use the range as much.. Also Leos that I've spoke to tell me their dept supplies their ammo and weapon so that wouldn't be a large profit center.
  15. I agree this was a business decision, albeit a bad one. It just irks me when I see good people (volunteer Firefighters and EMTs) being treated like second class citizens. I find it particularly interesting that Randolph's fire and rescue squads are totally volunteer. They feel the paid police deserve or need the discount more than the volunteers who they expect to run into their burning building to save it do. I guess when you run anything fireams related in NJ you do whatever's necessary to stay on the cops good side.
  16. I agree totally with you public service is public service..... to give retired leo's a $175 discount and active firefighters/EMT's a $50 discount is a slap in the face to the Firefighters/EMTs.
  17. I find it disconcerting that the choice is made to "reward" a paid profession (LEO's) and the volunteers get treated like 2nd class citizens. They should call the cops if they have a fire or need an ambulance.
  18. Wow, police who get paid for doing what they do get 1/2 off....volunteer EMS and firefighters get 50 bucks....talk about inequities! And yet they expect those unpaid firefighters to put there lives on the line if they had a fire! They should go to the Hall of Heroes at the Bergen Co Fire training center and see how many firefighters and Emts have lost their lives in the Line of Duty. A VERY DISAPPOINTING decision on their part.
