  1. Looks like I will be adding another LEO perspective to the forum
  2. Long time lurker. Finally decided to register. Look forward to chatting on the boards
  3. I really don't enforce it on adults as much because it is your choice if you want to die or not. Kids really don't know better so I see it as my job to do it. I don't see any need to flame you. You are entitled to your opinion.
  4. Seat belts and car seats with children are a violation i take very seriously. I will hammer anybody who breaks that law. I stopped a lady driving a big conversion van with 5 kids. All where running around the vehicle after I stopped her. Gave her a summons for each kid. Kids don't know enough and it is a parents responsibility to keep them safe. If you can't afford a seat either stop pumping out kids or use one of the free programs that are available
  5. This is a very accurate statement. At least from what I see in my dept. I personally always carry off duty just because I do subscribe to the theory that I am never " truly" off duty. Just look at what happened to the ATF agent on LI. I carry a back up on duty. My gear selection, preparedness level and off duty gun enthusiasm has me labeled as "buffy" but a majority of mynco workers admit that if **** goes wrong they want to be with me. I would rather be prepared and not need it than be unprepared and be without.
