I've got a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder that I just lost one of the remotes for. Ordered 2 on Amazon for $10, programmed them yesterday (takes < 5 minutes), and all is well. Granted, older vehicles don't have the fancy integrated emergency key, but if you are in doubt about ordering replacements from Amazon they seem to work fine.

Good info, thanks. I am still trying to find a replacement key and FOB for my wife's 2011 Honda Pilot.

  2. My daughter goes to Virginia Tech, at the VT- UVA game I cooked a bunch of this stuff, most of the kids from VA never had it before, I cooked a bunch up,  one of the kids tried it and blurted out- " this stuff is great, is this that Taylor Ham stuff I keep hearing about?"

Look into Sony Vegas Movie Studio, costs about $50.  I used to edit with vegas pro about 15 years ago, the pro version can be somewhat complicated with all the advanced filters, transitions and FX features.  The Movie Studio version is a light version, probably equivalent to what I used back then.

The nice thing about Vegas is that you can be editing video in just a few hours.  The basic dragging dropping preview  selecting and adding to the timeline is fairly simple.  Basic transitions are easy too.  As time goes on, and you experiment with things, your videos will just get better and have a higher production value.

Thanks- I will take a look at it!

Home Depot says they do “chip” keys on signage in their stores.   Probably worth checking that out.

Thanks, I will do so tomorrow.  I had my wife call but she got confused so I will give it a try.

Chip keys and fobs are two different things.

She actually needs both, hopefully HD can do it

  5. Thanks everyone!  We will be on a 54 footer, so nothing too small,  in the past I have given my son Dramamine and it worked well, even out on 6 ft seas once, the only drawback as mentioned is making you drowsy, I will check out Bonine as well.

I finally got to try out the Wrangler I picked up a few weeks ago. The fit and finish are good IMO.  There are some gaps in the fit of the grip frame but not anything I'm concerned about in a $200 gun.  Great job with the cerakote and bluing.  The trigger is a bit heavy and not as good as my Single Six.  It will probably smooth out with use. My Single Six probably has a bazillion rounds through it.  The Wrangler's loading gate is a little stiff but that will work in.

How does it shoot?  From a rest when I was doing my job with the right ammo I was able to shoot 2"+ groups.  About the same as my Single Six. I could probably do better if i wasnt over 100 years old.  The sights were dead on for windage.  Elevation varied depending on what ammo (high velocity, standard velocity, and bullet weight) but that can be expected.  Reliability was 100%.

IMO Ruger has a winner here.  Great utility grade revolver at a fraction of the price of anything comparable.  Half the price of a Single Six. I've seen the Heritage go for $130 online but add in shipping and transfer fees vs $200 I paid from dealer stock and it's a Ruger!

@fishnut you can fan these but the stiffer action and checkering on the hammer will probably chew up your hand.

Thanks for the write up, definitely want one of these!

I miss Star Tavern in Orange.  Not sure if it’s the best pizza evah but I think about it a lot.

Grew up in East Orange and used to go to the Star often, was there last year and their thin crust pizza is still fantastic!

  8. Going to a concert at the PNC Arts Center this weekend and noticed on the web site that the parking lots open 1 hour before the venue starts, I guess they don't want any tailgating?

I went ahead and purchased VIP parking, which looks like regular parking just a few years back.  Anyone go to any concerts there recently?

  9. Not sure if this is true, but heard from a friend I work with that the state is running low or out of pistol permits.

He applied in Clark, and from what he told me they are usually fairly quick on their turn around.  He applied using the online system and after about a month he called just to check on his permits and they told him that everything was done but they were out of actual permits and were waiting on a delivery.
