Personally, I was thinking closer to 10. I asked because where I came from, the weren't overreaching, intrusive and unnecessary entities such as child protective services. And I've never heard of someone from my general area going berserk with weapons in the US.

does PAul at Arms and ammo sell the XD or is that just for custom mags?

So if i go to a dealer and order something like an XDM9 or 40, they automatically will pin those? would it be an "additional fee?" does it depend on the dealer?

I may be way off base, but what if some of the FFL dealers broke a deal with manufacturers that permits them to receive weapons deemed illegal by the state and modified them to within the stupidity of NJ Legalese. I.E. XD-M40 which is illegal because its one whole round above 15. the gun itself is legal but the magazine isn't if its not pinned to restrict that one whole round. Dealers/gun shops add services to guns/rifles they receive and add to revenue, gun buyers get any gun they want within reason.

I returned to work in march and the drunk was over 6" and was still a minor, i was also a minor. that was like 15 years ago. I am doing well and just about back on track. few questions popped up meanwhile. I have a coworker whose father in law left them a few guns when he passed. one of which i am interested on (Argentine Mauser Modelo 1909 with a 30.06 barrel) but neither he nor his wife are into guns. How would i be able to legally buy that from him? Also looking into an XD-M .40 in the near future, but encountered an issue with having one of its magazines hold 16 rounds which makes it illegal. (kinda like making Ferraris Illegal because they can go faster than 65mph. idiotic if you ask me.) Is it even possible to order one with the smaller capacity or even have Springfield pin the mag down to 15? Just curious.

well, I got Denied for my ID, i appealed and they changed my court date twice. then i get a call from prosecutor telling me to call a detective handling gun permits and that my FID should be in the mail shortly. now its a waiting game to see how shortly, shortly is.

Hello guys, I may be the newest person with a denied FID application in Freehold "By statute 2C:58_3d." I was arrested as a minor for standing up to a drunk guy that was picking on kids. he swung and i swung back and police was called etc etc. Because he knew and police knew he was drunk, he never showed up to court so the Judge dropped the case. Apparently not everyone got the memo. the second thing was an actual lapse in judgement in my part that was changed to a misdemeanor if i agreed to restitution and fines. I am a servicemember (Infantry) with 16 years thus far with zero history of violence. Today i got a letter from the chief of police with the denial and things get better. my employer closed down my job for 2-3 months which puts me jobless until they re-open (hopefully in 2 weeks) so i got 30 days to appeal... I have considered writing a letter to the Chief of Police to ask him to reconsider and that one charge was as a minor AND supposedly dropped. Thoughts? BTW, I think i met NJDREW1 at the range in Jackson once.
