  1. Thanks for the replies. My main focus was the question of public land.... apparently no-go with a handgun.
  2. I called as well. As things go, eventually there will be a bill to restrict magazines to one cartridge. This is really headed to gun confiscation not even cleverly disguised as regulation.
  3. I'm sure I am missing one or more of the thousand laws in my interpretation of this. If your purpose is to target practice does this law allow you to do so with a rifle providing you have a valid hunting license? Apparently a handgun is not allowed since it is not appropriate for hunting; is that right? I will never understand the crazy laws in NJ. Is there any legal way to target practice in NJ with a handgun outside of a range, say on private property assuming a non-residential area? Just wondering... (2) A person carrying a firearm or knife in the woods or fields or upon the waters of this State for the purpose of hunting, target practice or fishing, provided that the firearm or knife is legal and appropriate for hunting or fishing purposes in this State and he has in his possession a valid hunting license, or, with respect to fresh water fishing, a valid fishing license;
  4. Wally world online says still available, 9mm 115gr >>> this number 0002946506087 Too far for me
  5. About 45 days since the M&P9 Pro purchase, just wondering if you have bought the second yet. The Sig 226 as well as the 229 get great reviews excepting from those who aren't fans of DA/SA. The Sigs are hard to find right now but I have spotted a 229 Elite and standard. I'd like to hear more...
  6. Add says in red lettered box, quantity pricing, 1000 or more, $250 but everything else says 500 qty.
  7. Did this ever become an offer? Let me know...
  8. I have been looking around myself, many models are hard to find. You can get a 9mm Sig Sauer P229 for ~$200 under MSRP. For under $1000 you can get the P229 Dark Elite (15 rd mags) at $966 or the "std" P229 for $831 (12 rd mags). Sportsmans-depot
  9. I am looking for 9MM Luger rounds and have found Armscor and TulAmmo available. Any experience with firing these?
  10. Hello Everyone, Just getting started in the sport. Posted already looking for pistol recommendations. I also would like to find a pistol practice range convenient to my home, in NJ at a bargain or possibly in Matamoras or Milford Pennsylvania. The Franklin, NJ range is not taking new members at this time.
  11. The present political climate pushed me to act. The Constitution is being ignored and trampled upon. Each crisis is another excuse to jam through leglisation and exert powers which weaken our rights. So, while I still have the right I am going to pursue my right to bear arms.
  12. My thought was that the M&P9 did not replace the Glock at that price range.
  13. The Sig 229 vision is getting clearer. The P229 Enhanced Elite (E29R-9-ESE) looks like everything I would want in a factory fit model. I didn't include a link... read the rules. Includes E2 ergo grips, Siglite sights, 15-rd mag, other improvements. $1200 MSRP. Wil I fall in love....
  14. I'm beginning to think in terms of lunker and jamesbod. I was thinking in terms of utility and weight rather then many other aspects. Realistically I can plunk down a $1000 w/o getting chest pains and buyer's remorse. That said, let's open it up to pistols that I could reasonably carry (outside NJ). I want some style without giving up the more important aspects, like reliability, safety, accuracy, and serviceability. A 9mm pistol is my choice. I have small hands so that somewhat limits the choices. I don't have thick wrists either so I want something I can handle. I want a selection of sights to get the best fit for my eyesight… with eyeglasses it is hard to focus near at my age. The P229, does that fit the bill? Perhaps a P226? Alloy for weight factor? Nitron? Walther?
  15. The PPQ has been discontinued but the PPQ M2 is a handsome firearm. It would top my list for price for sure.
  16. I am waiting on my P2P and spending the time learning what I might want to purchase. I am down to a short list based upon what I have read, subjective oppinions, holding the guns in PA, wallet, and availability. I'll place in order by price and show the price for what I can hold for purchase. Although I have read a fair amount I am a bit overwhelmed by choices and I am soon realizing this will not be my first purchase but it may be some until the next. I would like some oppinions to make the choice between what I list, not to add more choices if I may. So.... Sig SP2022 ($475 "special" deal with $99 laser), Glock 19 gen 4 ($600), Ber PX4Storm ($600), Sig P229 ($900). I am heavily favoring the polymer bodies for weight and price.... I might need a bit of convincing to buy the P229 but not against the idea if the best choice overall. I intend to get a Fl CCW and may carry to a PA range. I hope to get to fire at least the Glock when I soon attend the GFH pistol class. Thoughts??
