  1. sorry if this is in the wrong spot.. just really aggravated at the moment
  2. Just got off the phone with an FFL in Oregon who is supposed to be shipping an ar15 Upper to me. He refuses to send an Upper to my home address because it "violates" the law. He is telling me that he will only ship it to an FFL because the Upper is the Firearm. After 30 minutes of siting law and emailing and reviewing documents online i just gave up and gave him an ffl to ship it to. Even the NJ ffl he is sending it to was dumbfounded by the guy. the guy in Oregon ended our conversation with this comment.... "I NEVER DEAL IN ASSAULT RIFLES.... I DON'T BELIEVE IN THEM. THEY ARE NOT NEEDED IN THIS COUNTRY. AND I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE WHO USE THEM OR OWN THEM" to which i replied... then why are you selling the parts for one? his reply... I want to get rid of my sons junk. Awesome chap i must say.. SMH.
  3. I visited the Brick Armory shop/range a few months ago. The Staff was very friendly. The shop was clean and the range was pretty nice. One of the guys gave me a tour as i was considering a membership at the time. The range was a bit dim but i imagine that it was because no one was using it at the time. The range area was a bit on the warm side (visited in the summer), again maybe it was because there was no one back there so they didnt have the air turned up. Overall the shop and range were nice. People were professional and a decent selection of rifles at the time.
  4. What happened to my poll? Please post here so that i can keep track of who is interested and not. as of today Kharis is putting the final touches on the details of the class and we should have dates secured for the class by next week.
  5. I will add you to the list. and Yes you can bring all 3 and I will find out the Shotgun ammo needed and post back. Check your INbox!!
  6. You have to remember level 1 is not a Rickey recon class where you'll get a lecture then head out to the range to spray and pray all day. You'll be learning in a classroom session various items similar to the class in November as well as some more expanded topics... After that you will get to practice what you've learned at the range with the instructor coaching you along the way. The advanced levels (2 & 3)have a higher round count because the class room seasons are shorter with more range time learning and shooting drills, tactics and instruction. Much more hands on if you will. The round count for the November class is a "minimum" number. You can bring more if you think you will need or want to shoot more during drills, time permitting. With the progression of each class the shooter should become more proficient with his or her weapon, the tactics and skills they have learned. On top of that you'll get to meet some of the forum members!
  7. Most of the things you mentioned would be covered lightly in level 1. In level 2 students will learn more advanced techniques as well as "slicing the pie" for room entry. Basic weapon transition skills are also in level 1
  8. Yes Kharis is working to get a schedule set up at SJSC for the program. As for ammo. Level 1 would require 100 minimum (bring as much as you like) and is just a suggested minimum, each student may shoot more or less depending on how much they wish to run drills. Level 2 would require 200-400 rounds as the shooting/range element will be much longer Level 3 would be 300-500 rounds again with a longer more intense range/shooting element. After the class students will be offered some time to run drills they've learned at the class while at the range (time, weather and lighting conditions permitting) A more detailed ammo requirement will be posted when the class schedule and descriptions are released.
  9. I am working with Kharis Sepulveda to put together this program. He's a great guy and comes highly recommended by local LEO's and a few forum members here.
  10. Hey all, as many of you have already seen I am coordinating a Tactical Rifle/Shotgun Class in November of this year. After speaking with the instructor for the past few weeks about the lack of an affordable Carbine training course that offers quality instruction and practical shooting opportunities for students we came up with the idea of hosting/coordinating a Carbine and Pistol Training series right here at the South Jersey Shooting Club. We are looking to offer 2 class series next year starting in mid April, a Carbine Series and a Handgun Series. Each series will start with level 1, this being the entry level class that will help everyone get familiar with their firearm and give students general firearms and gun law knowledge as well as some great home defense/use tactics. Level 1 classes will also have a healthy shooting/range element as well. As the classes escalate the student will gain more and more knowledge on the use of his/her weapon and receive advanced instruction on tactics and shooting techniques. In essence, Level 2 will be more advanced than Level 1 and Level 3 will be more advanced than Level 2. Classes will be every other month allowing the student to "hone" his or her skills learned in the previous class. Each class would be approximately 8 hours long it is our expectation that both courses (Carbine and Handgun) Level 3 session would end with an expanded Range/shooting element as well as use of the on site Shoot House to practice what you have learned in session 3. AGAIN, we are still working out the details on this class series but it's all coming together quickly and we hope to have info for me to post soon and for Kharis to post on his website. Price wise, we are looking at $160 per class with a $10 discount for forum members (need to be a member here with at least 50 posts at the time of registration) now with all of that said.... are there elements of instruction that any of you are interested in having in the curriculum? We want to make sure that each class is full of value to the student. You need to get the most "Bang for your buck" Please post your comments here. If you are interested in hearing more about this class please post here as well so i can add you to a list. when we have everything finalized and the dates reserved at the range I will notify you so you can register. anyway... please post your comments and questions!
  11. Updated the attendee list.. there are spots still open. Please post up if you are interested!

  14. Interested members in the WMD BCG Group buy... Bugsy732 - 1pc
  15. Anyone interested in getting in on a groupe buy of WMD nickel Boron Bolt Carrier Groups? A supplier I deal with on a regular basis has an over stock of BCG's and is looking to unload them to make room for other inventory. The cost per BCG would be about $190 each shipped to a central person and distributed out from there. Not a phenomenal deal but still cheaper than most online resources. If anyone is interested please post up. Mods- if this is in the wrong place please let me know where to post it.

  17. Just saw on spikes website they are pre ordering a new billet lower that is an tribute to the graphics on the A10 warthog. Pretty cool but not sure I would want one. Here is info from the spikes website "The Hellbreaker Lower is a billet series lower featuring a mean sharks mouth magwell inspired by the markings on the famous P-40 Warhawk WW2 fighter plane. The selector markings are bullet pictograms. This lower has additional features not found on standard forged lowers. These features include: Front Grip Serrations (Sharks Teeth), Enhanced Magwell Flaring, Integrated Trigger " Features P-40 Warhawk inspired magwell Bullet Pictogram Selector Markings CNC Machined from a 7075 Billet Aluminum Milled Manufacturer Engravings Low Shelf for RDIAS Accepts .154" Diameter Trigger & Hammer Pins>/li> MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 Hardcoat Anodized Finish inside and out" http://www.spikestactical.com/new/ss/hellbreaker-billet-stripped-lower-p-1070.html?zenid=38ba860aea82d1807122214c278a73e1
  18. Nice looking rifle right there!
  19. I am most likely going with some sort of 45* offset. I don't like how most 45* BUSs stick up so i may experiment with a pair of 45* rails and toss some MBUS or wait till the new MBUS come to market (if they havent already) Well this is a HUUCR set so I expected there to be a blem or some fitment issues. The only blem i can see on this is that there is a slight error in the milling of one of the logos (not completely centered) They feel pretty solid. Nicer than some of the other's i've had my hands on. They feel a little lighter if that makes any sense. They fit very nicely together, there is no wiggle in the receiver and the parts kit fit in nicely. No problems with any parts install. would i recommend them? Yes.. if you can get a set from Umbrella itself. Don't fall victim to these guys on GB selling receiver sets for over $400-500. I mean they are nice and have that POP culture Zombie culture appeal to them but they are not worth the exaggerated price that some charge for them. I got them because it's not something you see every weekend at the range and paid less than $400 per set. I have one more HUUCR set I'm using for a 300blk build and have a Billet lower and Standard upper on order for another build i plan on doing down the road. If you can get your hands on a set cheap go for it! side note: i REALLY like the feel of the Umbrella grips. The angle of the grip allows me to keep my elbow in and not feel like i have strain on my wrist. I'll be ordering a few more for the other builds.
  20. A buddy sent this to me to watch.. I found myself shaking my head the entire time the video is on. Sorry if this was posted already.
