I have no intention of taking my guns to another state. AZ is 13 times the size of NJ. Where am I going to go?
Understood but if the sbr is your truck gun and you happen to take a side trip to Vegas...

But now you won't be able to take them across state lines without ATF approval. That sucks.

I disagree completely. At the end of the day the real fight is at the Supreme Ct and the lower Federal courts. Trump is transforming the Federal judiciary for a generation. With Obama's picks Heller would have been quickly overturned.

Will it have last round bolt hold open capability?

I was told directly that the PC Carbine family will grow in the future.
Any hints at what the solution might be to the weight issue? Non-heavy barrels perhaps? I know the current version is fluted to shed some weight but it is still a heavy barrel.

FINALLY, I took it to the range to shoot for accuracy. While I suspected it was going to be accurate, WOW... is it accurate, both with reloads and cheap factory ammo.
Video premier tonight at 9:30 PM... and oh yeah, had factory ammo go boom. Join in on the YouTube premier chat, like and subscribe.
Great video. I love mine although I do think it is a little heavy for what it is. Never had any reliability issues after about 800 rounds.
I did add a second OEM charging handle to the left side because I like to have the option to charge from either side.

Lol. Red planet arsenal in CT already makes a non-NFA version (CT and NJ are basically the same when it comes to non-NFA SBF) with a 12.5 inch barrel, foregrip and brace. But it is hideously expensive when all is said and done, about 2K.

1 minute ago, Castro said:Flawlessly. The bolt is... hugeeeeeeeee... for a 9mm Carbine - so getting dirty is no problem (I think some dude on YouTube is up to thousands of rounds without cleaning). My one gripe was the safety but that is easily fixed with aftermarket products. The breakdown is super easy too. Even though I’m eventually selling it I love the damn thing to death!
Thanks everything I read about the Scorpion is that it is superior in terms of reliability to other far more expensive 9mm platforms like B&T's, MP5's and Sigs.

Wanted to show off my CZ Scorpion Carbine with the faux supressor.
Basically has HBI charging handle, trigger and AK selector switch. Also a magpul front grip, micro laser (hard to see but it’s right in front of grip), magpul rail clip, random light I found (haha) and my personal favorite sight a Sightmark II.
Very nice. How does it shoot?

CZ scorpion 1600, sig MPX 2500, MP5 clone 2800..non nfa tax
Some NJ manufacturers should be doing this as well.

A couple of days ago I was on my way to Easton Fish and Game and, as usual, stopped at Heritage and Sarco. Heritage had a 33 round glock brand magazine which I decided to buy and then leave back in PA with a friend in Stroudsburg who I was planning to visit after the range. The employee at the cash register first asked for my driver's license and then told me that it was company policy not to sell (normal) capacity magazines to NJ residents because it might jeopardize their NJ branches. It's a bit ridiculous because their records would show that it was sold in PA, where it is perfectly legal, and NOT in their Rahway or Branchburg stores.
As an aside I bought a couple of Magpul 27 round glock mags a few months ago which I keep in PA but wanted to try the 33 round glock brand for the sake of comparison. The Magpuls have been 100% reliable through hundreds of rounds in a Ruger PC and a glock 19.

No if you look at their offered modifications the guns are available as either AOW NFA or non NFA firearms. The non NFA firearm options are more than 26" without brace extended etc. It seems that the CT position on non NFA mirrors the NJ one.
Also note that on the DSI website their non-NFA firearms are good to go in CT and NJ but not NY, MASS and other Venezuela like states.

Thats really not bad.
Yes but when you try to add to cart it asks for modifications such as brace type, non nfa etc., which takes the price up by several hundred. I think it's a bit misleading but it is what it is.
Why aren't NJ manufacturers doing this type of stuff?
-
It seems that our brothers in the Constitution State AKA Connecticut are way ahead of the curve. The manufacturer below is putting together non-NFA versions of almost every firearm out there. I did not see a B&T APC but give them time I guess. Any reason why these would not be NJ good right off the shelf? I can't think of anything as they seem to be following the, by now, well known formula to a T.
I tried to call them but they are on vacation all of July. Must be doing well if you can take a month off.

I would be happy with anything in the $700-$800 range which is what a Stribog 9mm costs and it is what I would get if I lived in a free state.

Competition at work. It seems that special ops tactical is entering the NJ market with their own version of a SBF. Appears to be an exclusive deal with Ocean Armory.
I hope we start getting PCC versions soon and even non-AR options.

Any updates on the ETA for the 9mm sbf?
-
Interesting, so how does this affect those who have put a collapsible/foldable brace on a shockwave or tac-14? Folded most of those are under 26" but folks were measuring them with the brace extended to meet the threshold.

No pistol permit necessary, and because the "stock" is a wrist brace, it is still adjustable ( no pinning required) Build quality seems to be really solid as well, only thing Im not a fan of are the mags it ships with.
I bet the 9mm version sells like crazy too with PCC's being as popular as they are. You also don't get the additional blast and decibels that you get with the shorter 5.56 barrels.

Since it is the assembling of the firearm-as opposed to the possession-which is prohibited it would seem perfectly legal to assemble said firearm in PA before crossing the border into Venezuela/New Jersey.

1 hour ago, JT Custom Guns said:I was replying to another members remark about AR Pistols being illegal in NJ
As I said - there are a few AR Pistols that can be legal in NJ (Carbon 15 pistol, Bushmaster Carbon 15 w/o shroud, Extar, ect.)
there are AR 15 pistols that are under the 50 oz. weight limit..................
Those are not AR Pistols - they are Firearms
There are a few 'Pistols" that are avail. (no brace)
The Extar EP9 is legal in NJ?
Wanna help put 1,000 rounds through a Troy A4?
in Tech Ops International - Phillipsburg, NJ
Posted
I rented the Troy this morning at Longshot and must say that I was really impressed with the handling characteristics and absence of recoil. I only put 50 rounds through because buying ammo at range will make you poor quickly but it really is a well made and balanced firearm. And of course it's pretty loud esp in an indoor range but that's to be expected.
If I wasn't waiting for a 9mm NJ legal SBF I would pick one up.
