  1. http://palmettostatearmory.com/ptac-16-mid-length-5-56-nato-1-7-phosphate-rifle-kit.html Sorry about that.
  2. I am looking to do a first AR build from a Palmetto State Armory kit. I will get the stripped lower locally but wanted to know if the parts are considered NJ legal yet?
  3. So I know that if change my address, I need to get a new FPID. What about the other information that's on the card? What if I gain or lose 50 lbs? What if I get a tattoo, or get one removed? Have an accident and can't stand straight so I am shorter? Any thoughts? Or does it even matter when you fill out paperwork?
  4. So like NJ, long guns are fine but no handguns except the the exceptions (home to range to gun store to home)
  5. ^^^^^^^^ So does that mean it is okay to stop and get some food in PA with unloaded/locked weapons in the car?
  6. Thanx for the info Bill. So other than my firearms, ammo and targets, do I need to bring anything else? Never been to an outdoor range.
  7. Thanx for the info DargZ. Also, does the membership start when it is purchased for one year or does it start and end at a specific date such as the PA public shooting license, which is June to June regardless of when you sign up?
  8. I've been looking at joining Easton Fish and Game and wanted some info from anyone who is a member. I would get an adult membership for myself. I see that they don't have a family membership, but they have guest as well as junior. I normally take my 12yo shooting with me, so is it better to get him a junior membership or a guest membership. There would be times when my wife and friends may also want to come along. Does the junior member get their own port, or is it shared with the adult?
  9. I got the Axis XP for $289 not including the rebate. I'll probably sell the scope cheap as I have a better one and the trigger mod seems good enough. Can't wait to get to the range to zero the scope. Just waiting to see what the recoil will be like.
  10. I picked up the Axis XP, which is scoped with the non accutrigger for $250 w/rebate. Seemed like a no brainer - now to get one of my AO scoped on it to start shooting!!
  11. Thanx for the info so far. Looking for a bolt. I don't really want a emi-auto, other than the 10/22.
  12. I'd like to get a centerfire rifle as a step up from a 22LR. I don't hunt and not sure if i will, so being that it will just be a plinking/target gun, it it getting into? The Savage Axis is currently on sale and I can get it in .223 or 243? It's the I want vs. I need question. I would probably sell off one of my 22LR's if I get the Axis.
  13. Would a Sig 250/320 or Glock/M&P with conversion barrels be the best way to shoot different caliber ammo without buying a new gun, or is the price difference between the standalone or conversion kit not worth one or the other? Just looking to try different calibers at the range, short of renting. Would like to try 45 ACP and 357.
  14. I currently have 3 rifles and 3 handguns. The rifles are 22LR while the handguns are 22LR, 9mm and 40S&W. I am thinking of getting a 5.56/.223 rifle next and possibly a 45ACP. Do most people have multiple firearms in multiple calbers, or do you think it is better to stay within a single caliber for ease of ammo purchase or staying within a recoil level? btw, my guns are: Ruger 10/22 takedown Ruger American 22LR Savage Mark 2 S&W M&P22 S&W SD40VE w/spring upgrade Tristar C100 w/grip upgrade
  15. Thanx for all of the great info. At CR, are weekends very busy? Weekends are the only time I really get to the range, unless I'm on vacation? Maybe I can call in sick on a regular basis.
  16. I live in Sussex county so I prefer to stay in that area if possible. I would look into both if I could go enough to get my money's worth. Too bad CR doesn't have a "try it first" as it's the closest to me.
  17. I've been thinking of getting a membership to either Cherry Ridge OR RTSP. I try to get to the range at least twice a month, sometimes more. I've only been to RTSP since you don't need a membership to shoot there, but the membership is cheaper at CR. Based on that fact, which range is better to join. I normally shoot both pistols and rifles a well as both rimfire and center fire. Also, I normally just go on weekends since I don't get out of work until 7. What do ya think.
  18. So I bought a Canik C100 on July 4th, so the next day for me to buy a gun is August 4th. I already put a deposit down on a SD40VE that I was going to pick up on August 4th, but I'll be going away that week. Also, this is one of 2 permits that will expire on Aug 7. I will bring them in for an extension this week, but is it possible to buy the gun and give the store my paperwork so that the purchase can be completed after the 30 days but before p2p date expires? Or should I extend both and not finish the transaction until after I get back from vacation? I wouldn't pickup the gun until after my vacation anyway.
  19. My wife and son love the S&W M&P 22. It's a great gun that is fairly accurate and has no recoil at all. But, is she's into range/target only, then the Ruger Mark series is probably her ticket.
  20. Bought my Tristar C100 from them on Friday, July 3rd, but NICS were closed. Picked it up on July 4th when NICS reopened. Great service as usual and was in and out in 10 minutes. I have 2 more permits that will expire next month - time to get them extended. Kudos to Garrett and staff at AHF.
  21. They also have Remington bucket of bullets and American eagle in 22LR at the Wayne store.
  22. Of the guns I own, my favorites are the bolt action rifles.
  23. Great place. I got my 10/22 TD there as well as a FFL transfer of a S&W M&P22. They bent over backwards in both cases. They didn't frown on the transfer even though they sold the same gun. Definitely one of my main local go to stores!!!
  24. Good deal. I just ordered 3 for my take down and American rimfire.
