  1. Hey Carl! Good to meet you today. Yes, my buddy had the mosin. It was a good day of shooting.
  2. Great time at efga. It was absolutely dead. Just a few of us there. What better place to spend 3 hours on a day you should be working?
  3. I am heading from NJ to EFGA today and noticed this morning they added to the calendar that the special events range is closed. Any idea if that means the action range? I just want to be able to shoot on the rifle range and centerfire range. Thanks!!
  4. Sorry to see this happened again at rtsp. I'm a member and they do a really great job there. After the last shooting I was hoping they would institute a no rental policy for shooters who come in alone. They apparently only applied it to first time renters. Now it looks like their range rules have been updated to include: Shooting is always more fun with friends! All shooters who are renting must be in groups of 2 or more. No single shooters will be allowed to rent firearms. (Exceptions: Active and Retired LEO and holders of a valid state issued firearms ID card. ID must be present at the time of rental.) While you will never stop someone intent on harming themselves or others, this is a great policy in my opinion to limit the risk somewhat. Jamie
  5. Thanks for all the links. I actually found the TTAG response to the exact article and it debunked the whole thing.
  6. Hey all. I am having an online debate about gun crime/control and someone post a Mother Jones article that I am looking for arguments against. Does anyone have some links saved they can post? Here is the article: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/01/pro-gun-myths-fact-check Thanks! Jamie
  7. The Ruger SR1911 is beautiful. If I could justify getting another semi, it would be the one. Solid, heavy construction and just stunning.
  8. I love my Hi-Point 9mm carbine. Ugly? Maybe. A blast to shoot? Every damn time!
  9. I have been a member at RTSP since March and overall it has been a very positive experience. With the exception of one incident with a RSO where he was barking at me instead of just nicely telling me about a rule I wasn't aware of (we worked it out before I left), everyone there has been exceptional. From the front desk staff, to the RSOs (willing to spend time helping you sight in a rifle or give pointers), to the sales staff, willing to show you whatever you want to see and really knowing the firearms. I don't really have any major complaints other than the fact that the membership is a little pricey (it is what it is). I am not sure why adding on rifle is $75 more per year but it didn't keep me from joining. It is a bit of a drive for me but with a flexible schedule, I love being able to go in the middle of the day when the place is nearly empty. I avoid weekends if I can't get up to make it there before 10 for member's hours. Great job by everyone involved with RTSP! Jamie
