  1. I had a horrible customer service experience with freedom munitions a few years ago, never gave them my business again. They took three weeks to ship an order when it said everything was in stock, and in the meantime had a sale on the same items I purchased and wouldn't extend the sale prices to me, even as a store credit. Horrible way to treat a multiple time return customer. It's never good to see a 2A business go, but you treat your customers this way and it's bound to happen. On the other hand target sport usa has never disappointed in pricing or turnaround time. I tried to contact them via email about the details of the membership program, like it says to do on their site, and never got a response.
  2. Ah I see, that kind of setup with a side charger would be cool. Someone at my old job did it for me, but it's simple for a machinist. We did that using an old Bridgeport. Just have to clamp the BCG properly in the vice so it doesn't move, we used a few scrap aluminum pieces for shims. Also need the correct carbide end mill. Regular steel end mill bits had no chance. ASA provides a nice diagram a machine shop can use with measurements, the pdf is on their site. A basic machine shop should be able to handle the task I'd think. I can send you more detailed pictures if/when you need them. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Here's my build using an ASA upper (American Spirit Arms), left side charging handle that folds and is not reciprocating. You need to use a special bolt carrier with a notch in it for the charging handle. These are available I believe from Brownells, but I machined the notch into the BCG that I wanted to use. I have a little over 1000 rounds through it now and all is good (and I ditched the shitty BUIS too haha). Let me know if you have any questions I'd be happy to help. Edit: Just saw you don't want a proprietary BCG. It really wasn't that hard to make the notch if you know how to run the machine and have the right bits, but you can also use the available BCG with your own bolt.
  4. ASA - American Spirit ArmsIt needs a special bolt carrier, or you can machine your own like I did, but I'm really happy with it. Some more info from my build... https://imgur.com/gallery/LigHm Rifle has a few different parts on it now, ergo grip, troy sights... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EY2Q1AS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For $8 I figure I'd try it. It works, but you have to have patience with it to get it all to line up. Best part is you can use the zoom on your phone to see even farther.
  6. You get so much for your money with the Primary Arms products, I can't recommend them enough for someone on a budget.

  8. Just bought my first and second firearms from Joe. He had the models I was looking for in stock when no one else did, gave me a great price, and didnt mind all my new guy questions, he stood there and chatted with me for as long as I wanted. All of this is more then what I can say about some other shops I've been to. Great little family owned/operated business, Luciano's gets two thumbs up form me.
