Picked up a Walther PPQ Q5 Match. Sweet! But I always like the M1 because of the paddle magazine release. Sooo, I bought a PPQ Classic and switched the uppers. Both the original trigger pull of the Q5 and the Classic averaged 4lb-15oz according to my Lyman Digital Gauge. Take-up was about 0.5" and reset to about 0.25". Not satisfied with that, although it is better than any trigger out there other than a 1911, I installed the Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger. Take-up was reduced to about 0.25" and reset to about 0.15". Trigger pull now averages 4lb-9oz. One more tweak to be done with a lighter trigger spring and I'll be set. Oh. And I upgraded the mags to 17 rounds and also installed the Leupold Delta-Point Pro. I likes it.

Trying to decide between the 3... I’m leaning towards the cz p10c, mainly because i love CZs and i hear good things about their striker fired offering. The others are tried and true. Anyone have any experience with these firearms? Any input would be appreciated.

Attention all Walther PPQ M2 5" seeker's... Model# 2796091 is being replaced with the new 5" they are calling the "Standard" Model# 2813734. The only real change is it will no longer have the cool ported slide, so get them quick if it's on your list. The old one has already been taken off the Walther website. See the new standard PPQ M2 here: http://www.waltherarms.com/handguns/ppq/ppq-m2-5inch-standard/ Ported PPQ Porn: http://www.lockharttactical.com/media/com_hikashop/upload/ppq-m2-tactical-22-lr-5-inch-10-round--2_11301755_lockhart-tactical.jpg *Image link above since it seems I'm at my attachment cap? What gives?

Was chatting with a buddy of mine at the range, who owns both pistols, and prefers the Walther PPQ just slightly over H&K VP9. Never shooting the H&K VP9, I was surprised by his observation due to H&K's rep. But his view was just that: people love VP9 over PPQ due to the "hype" and "rep" of H&K. Full disclosure: he is a H&K fan and loves his VP9. Question to those who shot both: forget brand name, which do you prefer and why?

I've just purchased 2 limbsavers, one for the Walther PPS and another for the Walther PPQ. On the Walther forum a number of PPS owners recommended the limbsaver as it helps reduce felt recoil and makes the slim grip a little more comfortable. Limbsaver also sell products for ARs and shotguns. The 'Pro Handgun Grip' pistol products are generic sizes rather than for specific make/models. There are 3 sizes: Full frame semi-auto Full frame compact Full frame sub-compact While I've not found any significant issues with felt recoil from the PPS, having shot 150 rounds in 30 minutes, I decided to give them a try for the price of $10-$12. I am also trying them to see if they help improve grip when shooting in warmer conditions and hands become sweaty. Fitting the LimbSaver takes all of 5 seconds, they stretch over the existing grip. If you have replaceable backstraps you may or may not wish to try moving to the size smaller backstrap. The LimbSaver feels like soft rubber with a slight tackiness/stickyness. I've not had a chance to try them at the range yet, I'll be posting a report after this weekend, however photos are below. Walther PPS (with 7 rnd extended magazine) note: I have also fitted grip-tape beneath the limb saver which provides a much better grip. LimbSaver = Full frame sub-compact Walther PPQ Limbsaver = Full frame compact Review to follow after the weekend @RayRay - PM me and we can figure out when/where to meet if you want to try the PPS + limbsaver.
