  1. Jail time for critter slayer A Long Island World War II vet has been sentenced to 30 days for shooting a squirrel in his yard. William Thomas. 81, of East Northport was convicted of cruelty to animals in February after a neighbor complained that he was killing animals with a BB gun in the back yard of his Confederate-flag-festooned home. Yesterday was his first full day behind bars, and Thomas, who suffers from dementia and various medical ailments, was hospitalized for observation, his ex-wife told The Post. "He's 81 years old," said the ex, Elizabeth Thomas. "I think they should have looked at his condition more closely before they sent him to jail." 2. Did we ever get out of the current recession?
  3. Exactly, without all the "noobs" the site would consist of 5-10 regulars. I asked a question that I could have easily Googled but I thought it would be relevant to have the answer to that question posted on this site for various reasons. I could give 2 shits that I was mocked since this is a gun forum where people should be able to ask gun related questions. Why ask any question on this site then if all you have to do is Google it and get directed to another gun site with the answer?
  4. Thats probably it plus your age at the time. And the chief not knowing you personally could have led him to deny you. Call Evan Nappen esq. for the best advice. The consult should be free and well worth your time.
  5. First trip to Cabelas. Ammo was a little pricey. Better deals at their online store.
  6. Haha, I know lazy question. But, lets just say the question "what is corrosive ammunition?" was answered on this thread even with a simple cut and paste job. The next time some momo searches Google for "what is corrosive ammunition?" this site has a good chance to be added to Googles 1st page of search results for that specific question ----> increasing traffic to this site ---> increasing site membership ----> increasing the number of gun/ammunition related threads ----> increasing njgunforums "page rank" in Google search results -----> and finally increasing the potential pool if customers for the vendors on this site. Just a thought.

  8. Does the 90 day clock start ticking the day you pick up the permit from the clerk or when the Chief signs it?
  9. Hahahahaha nice reference there. Anyone who missed it:
  10. I guess its like driving a new car off the lot. Immediate price drop. How much you selling the M&P 15-22 for?
  11. I was never asked for a FID at a range in PA. They probably don't even know about it since there is no need for anyone in PA to have one. Also, I don't think there is any reason to carry the FID card unless you are planning to buy something. The way I understand it is that the card is for purchase only, not possession of firearms.
  12. When you purchase it only takes as long as you can fill out the forms and get a NICS check, usually 30 min. I went with the Glock 19 as my 1st pistol. Great choice easy to clean and take down. Im really happy with mine.
  13. If you want some more perspective on some vulnerable areas in China google -Jim Chanos China-. This guy has some very interesting things to say about China especially the commercial real estate market in China.
  14. Exactly. You would definitely end up doing some time. How much depends on the prosecutor taking the case. And after all that probably lose your right to own firearms.
  15. The guy had many arguments that weren't even addressed. Can he appeal further?
