  3. I think Fox Business is where he will end up. He must have something lined up if he was released from his contract early.
  4. Thanks all for the input. It was kind of hard to believe that a dealer would sell me something not in compliance with NJ laws. I don't blame them, its not worth the trouble for them. I guess Ill just be looking.
  5. Yea thats what I was getting at. I spoke to a lawyer and he said NJ residents are allowed to own whatever is legal in the state of purchase as long as the gun stays in that state. Just wondering if the dealers would sell, guess that might be a problem.
  6. Do you guys know rules regarding NJ residents buying long guns and pistols at a PA gun show? I spoke with someone who told me that NJ residents could purchase and own any weapon that was legal in the state where it is purchased and kept (example: PA) And if we keep what we purchase in PA can we own whatever is legal in PA as long as we don't bring it into NJ? Thanks for the help.
  7. Thanks for clearing that up. Nice site BTW.
  8. Unfortunately more "ammo" for the gun-grabbers.
  9. You should have a weekly outdoor gun cleaning. Next time bring out the rifles and shotguns, and if you have any of the "scary" guns that would be better. Bring a few guns out and sit there cleaning your pistol, maybe turn on the radio have a ham sandwich and a Pepsi after your done admiring your work. Your neighbor will have a meltdown and might say something to you instead of calling the police next time, maybe you can smoke her out. (Excuse the sexism, but it has to be a woman)
  10. Da Noi in Bayonne is great Italian. $12-$15 per meal great portions and friendly service.
  11. Their Hamburg PA store looks like they have some pretty good prices on guns and ammo. Store looks nice to check out also, does anyone have any comments about Cabela's?
  12. I bought some shotgun shells and never had a problem down here in SJ. Even though the guy seemed like a hard-on he didn't bother to hold my hand as I walked to the register.
  13. Here are the clips of Christie on Imus, I laughed my ass off: pt 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hOY9hXAEOU pt 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvTEZMH65KU He reminds me of Frank Rizzo:
  14. I picked it up online: http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-b ... de/7690746 $49.99
  15. Politely remind them that it has been 3 months and that you think the waiting time is getting a little unreasonable. Be polite and just remind them of the facts.
  16. See if you can get it expunged. I am not a lawyer so that may or may not be possible. Call this guy: Evan F. Nappen Attorney at Law FREE CONSULTATION AVAILABLE Call (732) 389-8888 21 Throckmorton Ave. Eatontown, NJ 07724 Fax (732) 389-8744 He has a book on NJ gun laws, so if anyone could give you a straight answer it would be him. Post what happens, I am curious as to what the answer will be. Good luck.
  17. Colorado or Wyoming. Wyoming has the best tax environment to boot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyoming#Taxes
  18. Thanks for that. Nutnfancy really breaks it down properly.
  19. Sifting through the legal jargon, it seems like they have to approve or deny the FIC card in 30 days. I know there are police officers who are members of this thread and no disrespect to them, it seems as though some police departments try to intimidate and make it very time consuming for citizens to complete the whole FIC process. In my opinion this is all just to discourage citizens from applying for firearms permits, and there is nothing we can really do about it except wait. Its not worth the time or $$ to hire a lawyer and make enemies with the people who are in control of the city. Yup, but if you look closely the judge's ruling argues that the 30 day time period starts the moment the paperwork is received from the State PD & FBI, not when you drop off your application. This is what gives local PD's carte blanche to delay giving your FPID for however long they want. Got the call yesterday and I'm all set. 3 months to the day almost.

  21. Ventnor City, they are really dragging their feet. Last time I checked in to see if it was ready the lady was reading a romance novel and couldn't be bothered. Its going on 12 weeks. You got your prints and everything in right?
  22. Thanks Caine, I guess it could be worse, my father had his digital prints rejected by the state and had to redo them with ink which set him back a month at least. I am pretty excited about getting out on the range though. I have been just watching some of the safety/educational videos on Youtube to get down the basic rules on safety of gun ownership.
  23. Yes it was a pistol purchase permit also, I am pretty sure it is on the same form(Application for Firearms Purchaser Identification Card and/or Handgun Purchase Permit). What is an estimate wait time for pistol permit filed separately? malsua, that is good to know. I don't plan on registering anything in that case.
  24. Hello, I just applied for my FIC/Handgun permit card on June 1st. Its been close to three months and I check in with the city police records clerk every week. She keeps telling me all I need it the police chiefs signature and I will get the card. This has been going of for 2 weeks. I already reserved a handgun for purchase and need the card to pick it up. Has anyone else experienced the same BS? Also, my buddy in NY said he has to register his firearms at the local police station. Do we have to register firearms at the police station?
