So Californians can no longer open carry?
davisac replied to Downr@nge's topic in General Discussion
Not in California: "This measure would overturn a California Supreme Court decision that held that police officers can lawfully search the cell phones of people who they arrest," the governor's brief statement said. "The courts are better suited to resolve the complex and case-specific issues relating to constitutional search-and-seizures protections." -

Where'd you find the info? I've been searching for news on the case every week but never find anything except in this thread. :unknw: -
They are that bad. Our upload speeds dropped to .10 Mbps and packet loss was through the roof. It took 2 weeks for them to fix it. 2 WEEKS!!!

Can anyone tell me how HR 822 might affect this case? (if at all). Scott Garrett is a cosponsor of the bill. -

I saw one at Hackettstown Guns and Ammo a few months ago.... -
Great thanks for the help.

I found this on the NRA's site but I can't find it anywhere on NJ's firearm information. Can you point me to it so I can print it out?

Do I need a FID card to transport a shotgun to a PA shooting range? I would be following the standard locked case separate ammo etc. I've also heard that a hunting license works for this but kind of doubt it. Thanks everyone.

Petition to change NJ CCW laws!
davisac replied to singh073's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
HANNITY: Are there any issues where you are, quote, moderate to left as a Republican? CHRISTIE: Listen, I favor some of the gun-control measures we have in New Jersey. HANNITY: Bad idea. CHRISTIE: Listen, we have a densely-populated state, and there's a big hand gun problem in New Jersey. Now, I don't support all the things that the governor supports by a long stretch. But I think on guns -
I'm going to try and get my FID when I go back for Christmas break. Is there anyone from/near Hackettstown that knows how well it will go there? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Sig 556 pistols are too heavy to be NJ legal so the threaded barrel wouldn't matter at that point? No I meant regular pistols like the sig misquito and there is a H&K I saw yesterday with a threaded barrel. The pistol doesn't have a magazine that attaches outside the pistol grip I think that would be the difference. I will probably perm. mount a thread protector but I wanted to check for inexpensive muzzle brakes I won't regret perm. attaching (too much).

...for an already threaded barrel. What would you put on your rifle to make it NJ legal? I just moved to NJ from PA and need to "fix" my AR. I really like the PWS FSC556 but $95 is a little too much for me right now (college). What are your thoughts on a thread protector from ADCO? I was concerned that this wouldn't be able to be removed if I move back to PA in the future (not sure if true). Thank you for your help.
