  1. real quick here Revolver- 6 rounds only Single stack- (1911 type gun with a bushing barrel) 8 round mags for major or 10 rounds for minor Production- (glock, sig,xd, cz, etc) 10 rounds MAX in mags Limited 10- Just about any type of gun with 10 rounds max in mags Limited- mag capacity depends on where you shoot (NJ 15) Open- run what you brung 99% of all stages start loaded in holstered meaning gun loaded with safety on, hammer down on production, round in chamber full mag in gun. No stage has more than 36 hits needed to finish the stage. that being said you could end up shooting 50+ rounds. Some stages have as little as 8 hits required to finish. When I attended my 1st match I used a nylon holster and GI mag pouches that I purchased at an army/navy store. Later that week I picked up a Fobus holster and mag pouches, and about a year later Uncle Mike's holster and mag pouches. You can start off with inexpensive gear, but the more serious you get, the "better" gear you will end up getting. You can also find tons of more info on the www.enos.com forum
  2. Yeah you need to try other matches at other clubs, whole different kind of ballgame.
  3. I think it's more that Maks gets it! There is NO OTHER (IMHO) shooting related activity that you do that is as enjoyable, challenging, and frustrating at the same time. Shooting paper at a range is boring. Come on out, check it out and give it a try. You won/t be disappointed. At least till the scores come out.
  4. Like i said I am almost sure that you need a rifle but I could be wrong.
  5. I am pretty sure that you will need to use a rifle caliber. But you can always email the match directors with any questions you have.
  6. Yes it is 3gun, and .22 rifles would not be allowed. Even if you don't shoot the match, you should check it out if you can.
  7. This would be a great test of skills for those who are into "zombies"
  8. Taken from obcats.com site; MULTI-GUN is BACK at OB! OK, it has been a while and we apologize for that, but your patience is about to be rewarded. We are going to have a Multi-Gun Match this year. We need some help to put this match on the ground in short notice. Match date is Sunday October 31st. This will be run just like our monthly pistol matches except there will be multi-gun stages. We will ALL build it, ALL shoot it, ALL tear it down and ALL PUT IT AWAY. Match fee will be $40 for Old Bridge Members and $50 for non-members. There will be essentially two divisions, Tac Optic and Tac Iron. If anone wants to shoot Open or Heavy Metal or Trooper to brush up their skills, they are welcome to do so, with the understanding there probably not be sufficient participation for prizes. This will be a cash payback match. Click here for the application. Just like our regular match, we will score with Palms and we need you to sign up in advance. You will pay on the day of the match.
  9. Pick your nose! Strengthens the finger and makes you practice not shoving the finger into the trigger guard.
  10. Do you have to ask? Hopefully the weather won't be an issue. You know cause rain kills hairstyles.
  11. Maks, You want to consider 1 more mag pouch.
  12. Having shot a few 3 gun matches, I would have to agree in getting a belt type mag pouch. I purchased the one I use from Brownells http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=4022 ... ZINE_CINCH to hold 2 mags together. .02 spelling edit.
  13. Sounds great maybe I can meet up with you guys and get some pointers so I don't look like an idiot . The match at Old Bridge will be (always is) on the 4th Sunday of the month, which falls on 9/26. www.obcats.com Central Jersey, Jackson is always on the 2nd Sunday. cjuspsa.org Shongum 1st Saturday. http://www.shongum.org/activities/uspsa.html Topton PA 3rd Sunday. http://www.toptonfga.org/IPSC.html Tenafly 3rd Sunday (indoor match) http://www.trpclub.org/action.html Also everyone at one point or another will end up looking like an idiot.
  14. Blade tech makes top quality products, but there is a wait for them to make the holster and mag pouches. Uncle mikes is also of good quality, lesser expensive and readily available.
  15. season never ends. you can shoot up to 4 matches a month and more all year round. weather permitting of course.
  16. Marlon, why wait till next month. Central Jersey next Sunday, Old Bridge the week after. Practice? That is what the 1st stage is for.
  17. I agree. Anyone can shoot paper standing still (almost anyone) Trying to shoot paper or stell as you are moving, under the pressure of a timer, with people watching, makes it more interesting. Also for you zombie or SHTF group, this would be good practice for it.
  18. What parts are you looking for?
