  1. I carry Hornady Critical Defense 9mm as my offduty ammo. Great ammo very smooth and not snappy
  2. Carried the LCP for a little over a year, had no issues with it until after a year and a half I went to qualify with it and the gun literally fell apart after having 3 major jams with the first six rounds. The extractor broke and the firing spring broke and small parts started falling out of the mag well. Sent it back to RUGER and they replaced the whole gun except the barrel and frame. Up to this point the gun was very reliable and a great carry gun but after this incident I would NOT trust my life to this gun and got rid of it. BILL LEO (now carry M&P 9c)
  3. Hornady Critical Defense,My father just retired from a PD and even retired he cant carry hollow points so he carries critical defense which is not considered hollow points in NJ. I also carry critical defense in my MP9c as off duty ammo. You should shoot a few rounds through your glock and give them a try. They are very smooth and accurate rounds. Ive shot them through a .38,.380, 9mm and 45 with no issues at all. Bill

    M&P 9

My dept switched to the M&P 40 2 years ago , Great gun, easy to shoot, very rugged and reliable. Also switched my offduty from the Ruger LCP to the M&P9c, cant say enough great things about this family of guns. purchased a few X-grip, grip extenders to use the full size mags with my compact, makes a great carry gun on and off duty. because of the interchangable back straps it feels great in in all hands, 700 rounds through my 9C and no teething issues, as for accuracy it gets the job done out to 25 yards no problem ,decent groups. Bill
