  1. Haven't Shot a match at CJ yet is there a place to pre-register or just show up?
  2. Bumping with a question. Maks would this likely be over a weekend?
  3. I thought that was weird too. It has side impact airbags too. The only conclusion I could come to was that the initial hit was so far forward.
  4. Yes it sucked, no real injuries so that's good. I did bang my shoulder on the door pillar but it's gotten better. Not sure how fast she was going. She was trying to make the right turn and slid into me, and yes it pushed my truck almost five feet.
  5. I don't have a truck for at least a month either now. Got slammed into while I was sitting at a stop sign.
  6. Don't work on weekends, only standby from home. Usually I work nights but i'm doing days this week, then back to nights.
  7. Love mine, for me this gun just fit, unlike the Glock which always feels awkward.
  8. Thanks Harry, I had one built out of pvc already and didn't feel like spending the money on buying more pipe, so this is what I came up with. Much cheaper when the wood is just sitting around collecting dust too.
  9. So i'm on call this weekend which really limits the things I can do. I have an hour response time so I stay in the area just in case. I didn't have to much to do around the house, and all I could think about was getting out to go shooting. Saturday evening I put together some 9mm test loads that i'll take to the range later this week. While doing this I was thinking i'd like to get a few target stands that I could use in the pits at CJ. I took a look online at different vendors and wasn't liking the prices. My nephew is in welding class at his high school and has already told me if I needed anything done he could do it for just the cost of materials. So i'm thinking this probably the cheapest alternative to buying them, well I was wrong. Earlier in the summer my brother and I built a shed in my backyard and I knew I had some leftover wood. I put together a plan in my head and went to work, and here is the result. Four target stands that cost me about $4.00 to make. All I have to do now is get a few more 1X2 furring strips. Overall I had a pretty productive weekend. Lousy cell phone pic sorry.
  10. There's always CJRPC next week, IDPA at Somerset the following week, and Old Bridge the week after that.
  11. I have an 8 gig also, but forgot to put it in and take the 2 gig out. I ended up wasting some of the space by letting it record from startup until we got to our first location, about 12 minutes. I did lower the resolution to 720p to try and save some space. I can't wait to use it at the next USPSA match.
  12. Yes it does Harry. I've thought about wanting to buy a small airplane to fly to and from work, but don't think it would be very cost effective to do such a thing.
  13. I got my windshield mount yesterday and was able to try it out today. This is the first real test that i've done with the ContourHD. Overall I was impressed with the picture quality and the color rendition. I'll post the link for the video if anyone wants to check it out. It starts out at about 4:30pm and continues until sunset before I ran out of memory on the 2 gig card that comes with it. This was just a quick edit using imovie on my Macbook, very simple program to use. Here's the video.
  14. I compared my 1911 to my full size M&P9, and just looking at them (side by side no measurements taken) the M&P looks thinner. With the small palmswell installed its downright tiny.
  15. For now then I would shoot L10. It will give you the same feel as production, only being able to load ten rounds, and if you know the weight of the bullet and its velocity you can have the advantage of shooting major power factor.
  16. The software as far as editing on the contour is ultra basic. I will just use imovie for now. Picture quality is pretty good so far. I've only done a couple test videos to test positioning of the mount, but they were done indoors with the metering settings set for a normal day outdoors, and they still looked good. One of my favorite features of this thing is the ability to rotate the lens to straighten your shot, with laser assist. I've got the windshield mount coming tomorrow so friday i'll take it flying with me and post up a video.
  17. B&H has it for $119 with free shipping. Ordered one last week. Living where we are it's like getting free overnight shipping. So far I really like this camera.
  18. Couldn't you just use it for Limited or Limited 10 then. You should be able to make major power factor too. No such thing as major in production. As far as a holster I use a Blackhawk serpa, it's not ideal but I shoot lefty and was having a hard time finding a holster that wasn't an arm and a leg. I didn't want to spend a lot because I wasn't sure if I was going to like shooting USPSA. I really enjoy it though so i'll eventually upgrade. Serpa doesn't bother me right now at my skill level anyway.
  19. Put a batch of home brewed beer in a keg to get it ready for Thanksgiving, also finally got around to cleaning my 1911 that my brother used in last weeks match at Old Bridge. Was gonna load up the last hundred or so pieces of .45 brass that I have just didn't get around to it.
