  1. If I was a prepared-type person... I have a well, and will have to look into removing that cap and putting a hand pump in it if it is possible.   Having a little bleach on hand can help to make water safer to drink, but bleach breaks down and has a shelf-life and must be rotated.  You can also make a Berkey-style filter using (2) five gallon food grade buckets and lids on sitting on the other (which is a passive but slow way to filter after you collect if you have a source near by).   This will nest nicely with the filter stored inside and ready to roll.   I would prescreen through something such as a sheet, first.  Then there are water purification tablets, and lastly you can buy additional water purifiers, but some are better than others and remove the smaller viral particles while the others aren''t able to do that (masked warriers take note).  When I used to backpack I used a Pur Hiker (don't think it removed 99% of Viruses though).   One I would recommend now (with extra filters stocked and on hand) and with prescreening is the Grayl Geopress.  It is a little pricy, but in my opinion worth the cost of admission and I would choose it over say one of those water straws due to the volume of water it can make useable and the relative speed.  I would recommend one for every 3-4 people and it is portable and can be filled and used as a water bottle en route.   Mrs. P's suggestion of filling the bathrub and having water stored and on hand is invaluable as well.   If possible, I would choose to live near a replentishable source of water even if collection from a relatively close lake would suck using containers on hand.

She made millions for years with information, They all did, she wants all her cohorts to be able to continue to make money.

This is probably the first thing I agree with from Cortez. No I'm not changing sides.

It is absolutely ludicrous that members of Congress can hold and trade individual stock while in office," Ocasio-Cortez recently tweeted. "The access and influence we have should be exercised for the public interest, not our profit. It shouldn't be legal for us to trade individual stock with the info we have."

I doubt AOC has any morals.  She is probably mad because she cannot figure out how to do it on her own... "My money manager wants me to buy stock in this company that is printing ""Lets Go Brandon" T-shirts.  i told him to buy tickets to Disney World, instead"...  Or possibly, her handlers are putting a rift between her and the wicked witch who wouldn't share ice cream with her Florida.  These thoughts will rattle around in the media for a little while and then it will be back to normal...

"That's good navy bean soup.  Did you get some Pfizer stock now that the booster campaign is in full swing?."

Yeah, I sold my plexiglass stock as the market is saturated now and I bought up some... "

"Glad I got rid of that bump stock when I did."

Meanwhile, back at the Federal Burro of Disinformation listening in, "Did you get that Charlie?"... "Time to get more stock in the jabbers and sell off that other crap."

  3. It wouldn't matter if they were insider trading (legally) or not.  They would use their positions and influence to acquire wealth some other way... their son placed on a foreign company's board, buying up-and-coming realistate,  generous gifts from extended, extended family's investments, failure to pay taxes, lobbying their past coworkers,  etc.

@JohnnyB I always thought highly of the Hi Power. Bought one in 1970 at the gun club in Germany. $85. About 25% of my monthly income at the time.  However, I couldn't bring it home because I was only 20. GCA 68.  I fired  105 howitzers, 8" howitzers, 175 guns, quad 50s, but no Hi Power for me. I sold it for $100. Not my best firearms deal.

@10X I'm in the market for one of those SA HI Powers!!!

Not related but I bought a base stainless steel Rolex for $190.  That went to fund my motorcycle in college. No regrets.

Still have a gold Mont Blanc.  One merely writes with a ballpoint, one makes a statement with a fountain pen..  Still use a fountain pen.  Not the Mont Blanc. Another thing that cost me 25% of my monthly earnings as a NCO!!!

Definitely nice, but I like the CZ 75 Single Action, too.

Tried it for 3 months didn't work. And as per my endocrinologist, the intermittent fasting (paleo) diet is not a good idea. It's better to eat many small low carb meals thru ought the day then to fast and have less, larger meals, according to my doctor.

I would think it would depend on the underlying cause of the type 2 diabetes and interactions with meds.  Generally it is caused by too much sugar in the body and insulin resistance but it could be caused be a nonfunctioning pancreas.  Proper healthy fasting lowers insulin and cleans out liver allowing the body to tap into sugar reserves rotting body.  Unhealthy fats perhaps on an unhealthy keto diet poison the already ineffective mitochondria in cells.  When eating around the clock it never allows for insulin levels to get lower and insulin resistance doesn’t improve.

    Everybody is different.

It is my belief that too much sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup, poisonous vegetable oils such as Canola and Palm Oil and the removal of healthy fats and replacement of carbs in low-fat foods , along with too much food  altogether and eating too often, and the im balance of  healthy and necessary Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats that have created the diabetic and metabolic syndrome epidemics.  And big pharma and the medical establishment have little desire to disrupt their cash cow. Exercise is aldo needed to create more and healthier mitochondria.

He's still connected and will either sneak his way back, or go for the next governor's election, so he's not going away anytime soon.

If he cannot find enough ballads lying around, rumor has it that he will initiate his candidacy from a womens' bathroom and declare himself a  Republican and compete with Christie Cream against Trump for the 2024  Republican nominee.

Does anyone have one, And would you recommend it for a HD gun.

I have two pumps but I think I want a semi auto.

I really like the 930 Tactical.  The magazine capacity can be upgraded and the recoil isn't that bad at all.  It is light and ergonomic and is quite reliable with home defense rounds.  With lighter rounds it isn't so reliable, though.  I like the tang safety that is similar to the 500/590.  In my opinion, however, I would prefer a 500/590 Pump for home defense because it is less complex, cheaper, has tons of barrels and aftermarket parts....  I like the Mariner model, and would prefer a pump over a semi-auto.  If recoil is an issue, I would still prefer a 20 gauge pump over a semi-auto.    Can't go wrong with a pump Mossberg 500,  Older Remington 870 Wingmaster, or if you are lucky, an ithaca Model 37 Pump.   A 930 Tactial is pretty cool, though, and if you already have a pump go for it, you can't go wrong... and then tell us what you think.
