I'm going to try and go one night this week on the soft open. Are they selling ammo?
-
Hmmm.....I wouldn't mind gettin the ID taken care of. Are they there most days?

I should have been more specific. I will be at the 50-100 range shooting while the new members do the safety briefing in the clubhouse. That was funny.
-
I'm the crazy one with no distinguishing features.
-
I'm going to be shooting during the membership briefing. My brother and his son are joining. I really enjoy it there, G/L.

That's a beautiful rifle.
-
It's an 18.5" barrel without the compensator and the rail is a Daniel defense LTE 12".
-
I bought it for 141.65 with shipping from Reds Trading Post through their ebay store. I had 14 ebay bucks which brought the price down to that. I should have it this week. Thanks.

I drilled a hole and put a roll pin in it. I may put some JB weld on top of it to make it a "blind" pin. I think I'm ok the way it is. They are adjustable so I am not sure what you consider telescoping and I actually believe the law says collapsable. My off the shelf Bushmaster has a pinned stock so I just followed through on this one. Thanks.

Anyone want to venture a guess on the legality of this muzzle device for an AR in NJ? http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2447

I listed the lower for sale on AR15.COM. It really is pissing me off. I am going to order a LaRue Billet lower that actually cost less to begin with but I'm not tempting a jail sentence for 250 bucks.
-
I'm taking the upper over to Traks to potentially have the compensator drilled and repined and welded with another device. I've listed the lower for sale on AR15.com and will start to research a new lower billet lower and muzzle device. Thanks guys.

The NJ AWB prohibits a list of weapons by name (including the BUSHMASTER ASSAULT RIFLE and COLT AR15 / CAR15) and any weapon substantially identical to the listed weapons which means any rifle with a DETACHABLE MAGAZINE and (2) OF THE FOLLOWING - folding collapsible stocks - pistol grip - flash hider - threaded barrel - bayonet lug magazine capacity in NJ is limited to 15 (not 5 or 10)

ok, I am going to sell the lower however disappointing that is. I have another question though. The barrel has a permanently attached compensator. Originally the barrel was threaded but I had the compensator and the barrel pinned and then welded. Does that still count as a threaded barrel? If so it may be selling that to look for a different barrel.

It's really nice but it may not be worth having given NJ law. It was a bit pricey at 275 stripped. I may be listing it for sale at a bit of a loss.

I'm not following what you are saying. It's OK if it says AR15 in NJ? It's OK to say AR15 if lack other characteristics? I'd appreciate some clarification. Thanks for replying,

I bought the AR15.com lower and now I'm starting to get nervous that it breaks the, "it can't say AR15" on the rifle rule. The AR15.com name is on the side as the manufacturer but it does say the model is AR15. It actually doesn't say any model number just a serial number. Now I had this delivered through an FFL but that doesn't mean it's right. Here is the link to the AR15.com store that has the product description. http://store.ar15.com/store/product.html?cat=9∏=282 Thanks.

I'm excited to go for some indoor time with my pistols. I wouldn't mind a discount on the occasion I bring one of my wife or one of my daughters to share a port and the guns.
-
It's pinned and welded like my my NJ legal Bushmaster. The blue tape has an arrow pointing to the spot which is very obviously a pin and weld.
-
Here is the finished product. I need a scope mount for the 3x9-40mm I have and then I can shoot it.
-
Pulled the trigger pin out and got a roll pin. I can't smack or pull it out with a pick so I guess it's pretty much pinned for NJ. I bought some plastic filler and paint to touch up the mark. It's driving me nuts.
-
Couldn't find a roll pin at the Home Depot by me and Loews is a hike. I commute to NYC so a quick Amazon.com order was probably faster. The OAL is past 26" and the barrel is 18.5" + compensator. Is a roll pin better than tapping, threading and putting a hex machine screw in or just easier? Thanks.
-
Ordered some roll pins and will remove this pin and replace. Curious I'd that's all I have to do to be legal? Overall length of the gun is more than my NJ legal Bushmaster XM15. I have an 18.5" barrel with permanent compensator on it.

So I pinned a UBR stock today and I wanted to get some opinions on whether this passes NJ or not. I used a drill press and a trigger pin to hold in place. Does it need to be soldered or just not otherwise removable?
