Thanks, I appreciate all the help in setting me straight. Just to name 3, Colt AR15, Bushmaster assualt, Armalite AR-180. To me it would seem substantially identical to these rifles.

Sorry to have to post another " Is this legal" question but everyone knows how vague the laws are. I get the part about the # of items that make up an assault rifle. However the part with the list of named rifles and then " Any firearm manufactured under any designatiion which is substantially identical to any firearms listed" is confusing. So my question is , is the pictured stock with the adjustable stock pinned legal? It's the Archangel 556 for a 10/22.

IT was much less violent than most TV shows today. They don't seem to mind showing the results of IED's in Afghanistan, embassy attacks, etc.

Interested in the same stock and been doing alot of research to also see if it's legal. By pinning the stock and shaving the bayo lug wouldn't that fall under "defacing a fire arm".

Hello, new to the forum. Nice to find a forum specific to NJ. Was thinking about getting a Archangel AA556R stock for the 10/22. Anyone know if it's legal in this state? The laws seem pretty vague and I spoke to some cops and even they are not clear as to what is legal.
