  1. Gotcha. It gets all too confusing at times. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. My grandmother has legal residence in CT. My mom is a NJ resident. So technically my grandmother can sign over the shotgun to me with my mom as POA. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I travel through NY all the time with my firearms, I hear you on the bad reputation but I have a few people in high places that are friends so I’m not too worried about it. I go through Westchester County also instead of through NYC. I have a 38 revolver and shotgun that I would be taking ownership of so I am good there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Yes my mom is power of attorney. Thanks for the info. That’s what I thought I had to do but want some confirmation Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. My Uncle just recently passed away. He left everything he owned to my Grandmother if she was still living at his time of death, which she is. She is however unable to fulfill the duties of executor of his will so my Mom will be executor. My Uncle has a handgun and shotgun which are being given to me. I posses a FID, what is the legal process I have to take to take full ownership of these firearms and transport them from CT to NJ? I’ve read what I can but it can get confusing. My mother obviously does not have an FID and does not want these in her possession. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Galloway Township. Waiting 2 months now for FID address change. Moved within Galloway Township. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have both a red dot and a scope on my 15-22. The red dot is a truglo trubrite. Was less then $100 and works for what I use it for. I have that on a 45 degree angle forward on the rail. On the top rail I have a leapers bug buster scope. Both items were inexpensive and work great. I will try to post some pics of the setup.
  8. Looking to get a hold of 2 24/7 G2 mags and have them altered to 10 round to make them NY compliant. Anyone????
  9. I bought the gunvault micro vault xl from optics planet.com. It the non biometric version. Read to many reviews of the lack of reliability with the biometric. I can push four buttons just as quick and reliable. It's $124 with free shipping. Do a search and you can come up with 5% off promo code. I like it. Fit in my drawer well. Here is the link. http://www.opticsplanet.com/gunvault-microvault-xl-digital-handgun-safe.html they do make one smaller than this too. Hope it helps your decision making process.
  10. To those of you looking for a tactical light/laser combo I just bought the Viridian X5L zombie edition from opticsplanet.com. I mounted this on my Taurus 24/7 G2. So far I am really impressed with the purchase. Had a coupon code and ended up getting the laser for $260 with free shipping. Came with four batteries and a soft pistol case. Dvor.com which is a spin off of optics planet has it on sale for $260 until the end of the night. I'll post some pictures of it all later and post again how it holds up at the range after putting some rounds through it.
  11. Njscott, lets pull out a map first. The town of Webster is not in downtown Rochester. Webster is a very wealthy and nice community. While I not disagree Rochester has its bad spot in the city, you name me a city that doesn't. This is an extremely horrible event.
  12. Just bought the Burris fastfire II for my father in laws shotgun. Went on others recommendations for it. Will let you know how it goes. Cost was $188.00 on Amazon. I felt that was a decent price.
  13. I need a question answered by someone who owns a 10/22. Buying a Christmas present for my brother in law and I need to know if there is a weaver or picatinny rail that comes with the the 10/22. Also what's the preference for this rifle when adding a scope, riser or no riser? Thanks in advance!!
  14. Will .5"-.75" matter that much with regards to recoil???
  15. Looking to purchase my first handgun in a 9mm. Was really looking at the Taurus 24/7 g2 compact. I really like the looks and feel of the compact type of handguns. Looking for thoughts of this handgun from whoever has one or had one. Also open to others thoughts/opinions to their favorite 9mm compacts out there. No keep in mind I'm not looking to spend a lot of cash here. Looking to stay right around or under $500. Just spent some cash on a m&p 15-22. I caught the Italian disease of myfundsarelow, kidding, no offense meant.
  16. I'm new to optics so I pose this question for you opinions. Was thinking of mounting a scope with a red dot sight off to the side at a 45 degree angle for the close and distance shooting. Would be looking to put this set up on a m&p 15-22. Is this overkill and will the red dot sight be sufficient enough for the effective range of the rifle? I know the sighting in will be a pain since its an X and not a straight up and down crosshairs. I'm ok with that. If any have you have done this can you show pics of your setup and what you used. I'm not looking to spend a lot on the optics. Looking to go with a truglo setup cost on both. Thanks
