  2. No I mean steel case ammo..And my customer went up there again today and they wouldn't let him shoot it.
  3. @Carl...I had a customer go there yesterday with his Bushmaster rifle and they would not let him shoot the Wolf steel case ammo that he had brought with him.
  4. Can someone tell me if Heritage Guild in Easton PA allow you to shoot steel case ammo such as Wolf for your AR or AK?? I know RTSP does not allow it. Why I don't know other then they don't feel like separating the brass from the steel. Thanks, Bob

  7. I managed to get my temporarily tax certificate online. The 10 digit state iD number that I needed was right on the LLC formation document..Oakridge Firearms was 100% correct in me not needing to file at the county as when I formed the LLC I was automatically registered with the state. I had already set up a business checking acct. without any problems. All the bank needed was my LLC papers and FEIN number to open the acct. All that's left to do now is open some wholesale accts, and sell guns! Thanks to all for your help and insights! This is a great forum group to be a part of. Thanks, Bob
  8. I formed a LLC and registered and paid the filing fee to the state. I thought if I formed a LLC that I do not have to ALSO file a NJ Bus registration. I thought the NJ Bus registration was filled out if you were not forming a LLC. So do I also need to fill out a NJ Bus registration too or just call for the Sales Tax Certificate of Authority??
  9. Do you keep a ledger on how much sales tax you collect and then pay amount quarterly?
  10. Thanks for the info!
  11. I received my FFL and NJFL. I now need to file so my buisness can collect sales tax. Not sure where I go online to set this up. Step by step instructions would be helpful. I don't want to file under the wrong thing. My business is a LLC. Thanks
  12. After doing some more research on PAI and from what you just told me Midwest, I just may go with Transnational now. Any other positives or negatives would be appreciated to know Thanks
  13. Thats good to know..Does Transnational have a early cancellation policy and how much for the equipment? How is there customer service? Thanks
  14. Transnational has some horrible reviews on their credit card processing. I went to the NRA site which steered me in the right direction. Payment Alliance seems to be the best out of a few I checked out. . You would be surprised how many web hosting domains also are anti gun ! Amazing! Thanks for the help!
  15. Was wondering if anyone uses paypal as their credit card processing and if you can use paypal. Especially for internet sales or gun repairs? I'm reading and finding out that a lot of credit card processors will not allow accts that deal with guns and internet sales. Must be something to this Obama "Operation Chokepoint". Thanks, Bob
  16. Any suggestions for a home based FFL to whom to open up a wholesale distributor acct with? Thanks
  17. I have a gunsmith buddy who did his ATF first and then the NJFL. But that was 22 years ago. I know you can't conduct business until you have everything in place meaning licenses, LLC, and registering with the state and county. The NJSP application says to attach a copy of your zoning letter and there is a place on it that asks for the business name. Another question for those with FFL's. Did your zoning resolution letter actually have the business name on it when you received it? Or was it just your name, address ect? @ Monmouth arms I basically do jobs that doesn't require lathes and heavy machinery I am a LEO getting ready to retire. I work on some of my fellow LEO's guns such as trigger jobs, AR builds, mounting scopes, crowning, refinishing stocks, and of course repairs and cleaning. You would be suprised how many people take their guns apart and can't put them back together (not talking about my LEO brothers). It's always fun when a friend calls me to come over and shows me a pile of parts and asks me to put humpy dumpty back together again..lol Thanks to all for the info so far
  18. I am setting up my home based gunsmithing business in NJ. I went in front of my towns zoning board and was approved to run this business from my home. What should be my next steps? Should I apply for my NJ license from the state police or FFL first? or should I apply to both at the same time? When should I set up my LLC? Thanks, Bob
  19. Yes PK90. I'm trying to get the "Use of" Variance from zoning now. If that gets approved, then I attach the approval letter to the NJSP application for a retail firearms license. Then I would imagine if that gets approved I can apply for my FFL with ATF. Another question is. When should I form my LLC?? Thanks
  20. I can still buy and sell guns even if my business is mainly for gunsmithing with a FFL? A ffl gives you the right to do both correct??
  21. ps..I'm looking to do more gunsmithing then sales of guns..Thanks
  22. Could someone (preferably someone who has already obtained a home base ffl) tell me step by step instructions on what they did? And do you set up shop before or after your atf interview? Do you need to have a llc, insurance ect before you get your license or after? Answers to these type of questions would be very helpful. Thanks in advance
  23. Has anyone heard of Randal Rausch who is a gunsmith and operates http://www.ar15barrels.com/index.html out of Sherma Oaks, California. Is he legit? Has anyone had any work done by him? Any info on him would be appreciated as I'm thinking about having some work done on my barrel Thanks
  24. I am about to retire from law enforcement in the next year and was looking into becoming a gunsmith as a part time retirement job. How are these online courses from Ashford rate? How would you go about being a apprentice to a gunsmith? Can you get a ffl license to work out of your home in NJ or do you need to work for a store? I am very familiar with different types of firearms and am not looking to get rich doing it. Just a passion to keep me busy. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks..Bob
