  1. I don't know, with some gals you could end up the loser there!
  2. This is one tough dude to figure out. As such he worries me__a lot.
  3. Fellow Warren County member here. There's a lot to learn and you'll find it all here so remember there are no dumb questions. Welcome, and enjoy yourself.
  4. Same thing happened to me. This forum is a good place to find one in your price range if you can be patient>
  5. Revolver is a Ruger GP-100 in 357/38 with a set of chigs grips and a Tru-glo front fiber optic. Built like a tank and reasonably priced.
  6. Oops. You got me. I should have said something like the completion of the collection.
  7. Front sight block is a stock Daniel Defense set up. I wasn't ready to do an upper build yet. And, I know I said no more guns but I am thinking of an upper build this coming summer. I have a 12 gauge Savage Stevens, and a couple of rifles as well, but these are all new in the last year.
  8. Second pistol down is the CZ-get one!
  9. It's not real without pictures, I was told. Pistols are in order of purchase and the sig is my wifes.
  10. My CZ SP-01. I tried 7 or 8 others before buying it and I just love that gun.
  11. La La La La La, I'm not listening.
  12. Another vote for a CZ, any CZ but especially the SP-01
  13. Well, last March I applied for my first two p2ps and my fid. This morning I think I finished off my 'collection' and I'm pretty satisfied with the end(?) results. Besides my original Savage Stevens 12gauge, Winchester Model 70 .308 and Remington semi-auto 22lr, in the last 9 months, the newbies are, in order, a Browning Buckmark Hunter 22lr, a CZ SP-01 9mm, a Ruger GP100 357mag/38spec, and this morning a Springfield TRP 45 for the handguns, and a Daniel Defense AR M4V3 AR 15. The 45 and the AR were bought used at really good prices from forum members Lunker and Steve-G. Also, my wife has a Sig P226 with 22lr and 9mm conversions. To all the guys here who purposefully and unknowingly influenced the research and decision processes and the two members who helped me get way more gun than I thought I could for far less money, my undying thanks. I'm haveing an absolute blast. Enjoying the forum has been a huge added bonus. Next, reloading!
  14. I stumbled upon this thread by accident and would be all in for a couple of shirts or whatever. Is there some way to ensure that more members hear about this. It has amazed me the number of forum members I meet out in Easton at both EFGA and Heritage and bet there are tons more that could be met via tees or whatever. If there was enough extra money left over, maybe we could buy a congressman or two! Great idea, Bugsy.
  15. Without doubt it'll be the storm of the century, absolutely, positively . Unless it doesn't happen or isn't so bad. And then only until the next one.
  16. Magazine called The Week presents news articles from the week before and always presents an oppsing viewpoint to the one in the original.

    22 caliber for wife

We go almost every Monday morning. Thursday after 2:30 is usually good as well. Let us know. By the way, eventually she should try my CZ. Due to its weight, it has very low recoil even less than most other 9mm. But, I'd wait on that, slow and steady wins the race. Sof actually Joe
  18. If the guns really mean that much to you in rememberance of your dad, and it sounds like they do, I'd sit down with the bro and stepmom and explain that to them as plainly and clearly as possible. Point out that with those many guns he'll never miss the ones you want and why those specific ones carry significance for you. Then I'd offer to pay whatever you think they are worth to you for the most important one or ones, so that you can have those rememberances. Good luck because these situations rarely bring out the best in people.

    22 caliber for wife

My wife followed the same track and bought the Sig p226 classic in .22lr about 8 months ago. She absolutely loves the gun, and as stated in multiple threads on the forum, decided after a couple of months of shooting about 100 rounds a week that she would like to try my CZ 9mm, which she did and also liked a lot despite her original dislike for the recoil before she bought her 22. She now loves her sig conversion and the ability to switch back and forth within seconds (literally seconds) and recently, when questioned by me said if she could only have one or the other it would now be the 9mm. She has also found that my 357 and 38 are "not bad at all", so I always advise buying a convertible 22 as a woman's first gun. The added advantage is that you can add extra calibers without all the p2p bs. By the way we rented a 45 and she now likes that baby too. Soo, I am a member at Heritage in Easton and we would be more than happy to set up a meet up with you so she could try my wifes Sig and anything else we have including a Browning Buckmark 22 for comparison. She will also readily share her experiences and thoughts which seems to carry more weight with the women than a husbands advice. Let me know
  20. It's small, light, and it stings!
