  3. Yes. Both included but doesn't include sales tax on the NICS Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Still $56 and he does not accept credit cards. He will take personal checks though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. May have needed cleaning. It was a range rental. But we both found the SR22 to "fit" better.
  6. Unfortunately, you're right. He's not even allowed to bring in the mail because she caught him trying to take something of hers...not sure what. Like I said, I'll wait for his felony then split them with my sister in VA (she can have the stuff not legal in NJ)
  7. I get where everyone is coming from with offering to pay him for them or trading an equivalent gun but he made it pretty clear that those are HIS father's guns and he's not getting rid of them no matter what. I think I'll just wait for him to get a felony or violate probation (shouldn't take long...he's still smoking weed), then he CAN'T ever possess them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Tuesday is ladies day at HG. 1/2 price range & gun rental, 10% off ammo. We go then. The M&P 22 had problems with ejecting. She loved the SR22 enough that one of my first two P2P will be used on a purple one. The other will most likely go for the new Remington R51 for me.
  9. I'm almost certain that his PO took inventory when he was assigned and told him how to handle temporary disposal.
  10. Yea. Hard to believe, huh? He moved out for a couple of years while he was married...until his wife caught him cheating.
  11. He wouldn't have purchased anything after his death so anything my brother bought afterward would be documented when purchased. MD is almost as bad as us on guns
  12. He is my half brother. Same father, different mother. Under MD law, without a will, the spouse is entitled to $15,000 real property plus 50% of the estate. The other 50% gets divided equally between HIS children, regardless of who the mother(s) are.
  13. I checked MD intestacy law and, actually, I should get 1/3 of them as should my older sister and the little prick. My stepmom is entitled to $15,000 + 1/2 the cash value of his assets and the house alone covers that.
  14. My Dad refused to admit that he was dying although he knew it as we'll as the rest of us did. He felt that making a will was saying "I'm dead, here's my stuff". I don't think he really expected my brother to be the selfish little prick that he is. Or maybe he was hoping that would change after He was gone. (It obviously didn't). The more I think about it, the more I'm considering just cutting the ties and moving on without them.
  15. for the last two years of his life, my father spent every bit of energy he had trying to breathe...he wasn't able to make a will and nobody pushed the issue (I live 4 hours away and when I visited, my intent was to spend quality time with him, not remind him that he was dying). My parent's divorced in 1970 and he married my Stepmom in 1973. I grew up with my Mom and visited Dad on weekends...went hunting with him every time I was there during hunting season from the time I was 8 years old...when he died, there was no funeral, no closure. I have nothing that belonged to my Father except memories...sure, I can go buy my own guns with no problem...that's not the issue.
  16. We don't visit often and she has 5 other grandchildren and 3 great grands...but my kids really care about her. Personally, she's never been one of my favorite people but I've tried to keep that to myself.
  17. The FID isn't an issue. They're in MD, not NJ. And,4 years ago, he wasn't on probation and could own them. I tried explaining the concept that I wanted them for hunting and would never sell but that fell on dead ears too. I may end up going the legal route if push comes to shove.
  18. I need some opinions/advice from others who may have dealt with situations similar to mine...I'll try to keep it short but no promises. The basics...My Dad passed away ~4 years ago leaving behind 40+ guns, mostly rifles & shotguns. There was no will so, by default, they became my Stepmother's guns. She gave them to my half-brother (My father's and her son). Last fall my brother got a DUI (weed, not booze) and was given 2 years probation. Under MD's probation guidelines, he is not allowed to possess firearms or even have them in the house (he still lives with mommy @ 37 years old). The guns are now at his Uncle's house (my Stepmom's brother). I visited this past weekend and asked if I could have one of his 12 gauges and either his .243 or 7mm Mag. My brother's very quick and short response was "NO!". When I asked why, he replied that "Dad told me not to get rid of any of his guns." He can't even touch them for another 18 months!!!!! I appealed to my Stepmom (his Mother)and her stance was "Well, Dad did tell him not to get rid of them" I don't really care if I piss off my brother but I don't want to ruin my kids' relationship with their grandmother. I'm pretty sure my father did NOT mean "Don't share them with your brother". I can go buy guns to hunt with but this would give me a chance to hunt with my father again....I'm really starting to dislike that little prick more than ever. It's not like I'm asking for all, or even half, of them...I want two. I know if I take him to court, I could get them all based on his current probationary status but I don't want to go that route out of respect for my father's memory. Any ideas or suggestions?
  19. I don't want anything that is going to rely on electricity for me to access my guns. It has a battery backup but when the battery runs out ??????? As for biometrics, bloody hands? dirty hands? cuts? I'll stick with a good old fashioned key lock...besides, RFID & GPS allows for tracking by numerous entities that I may not want to know the whereabouts of my guns.
  20. I know a shop in Flemington that would not even remove a handgun from the display case for me to look at without a FPIC & P2P. Guy pretty much blew me off on every question I asked with the exception of one. I asked what they charge for handling a handgun transfer and was told $75 + NICS...I won't be shopping there anymore.
  21. I have a 120v wire feed (same as the $90 HF one) that you're welcome to borrow if you wanna make the drive to Warren county or come to the next trap shoot in Clinton. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Where? I'd like to pick up a used 870 with wood stocks. Not a fan of the black/OD/Camo plastic ones. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I've already accepted the fact that there's a 99.99% chance that I will be denied. But that's not going to stop me from trying. As long as the state can make the statement that they approve 9x% of submitted CCW applications, no one is going to ask "why so few?". If the answer changes to "We approve 0.x% of submitted applications", then there is grounds for public questioning of The Powers That Be. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. How does this work with OGAM? Does the dealer have to agree to hold one of them for you until the 30 days are up?
  25. Insanity is doing the same thing the same over and over and expecting different results. If you do nothing, that is exactly what will happen....nothing. If we want things to change WE have to try to make them change. By sitting back and saying "they'll never change the rules no matter what we do", you're exactly right. They'll never even consider it because nobody is bitching. When enough people start pushing back, SOMEONE will eventually take notice and maybe flip their thinking switch to "ON".
