Still waiting for my handgun permits from Edison PD. 68 days so far and not a single update.

I don't buy from sites require FID. Not going to give a penny to them.

OK here's the update: after 50 days I was notified that my FID is ready for pickup. Thanks for the info guys!

Have submitted my application on 3/19, fingerprinted on 3/26 and references (my buddies live out of state) returned the forms on 3/31. On 4/23 they emailed me about my alien registration number, and after I went there in person gave them the number, they told me that my documents are complete. Anyone knows how long will it take after that? PS: The woman on the phone is always impatient about questions, but seems that persons on site (I believe there's one lady named Candice Gibson, there was another guy on that day too) are quite nice. Now it's the 42nd day and still no news...

How long does it typically take after the PD told you all documents required are in place?

Hi all, I'm interested in replacing the wood stock of Norinco SKS into the one made by Tapco, which comes with a folding stock. I have read some articles about when SKS comes to modification it must comply the 922®, which means at least 4 parts out of 14 must be replaced by US made ones. The Tapco stock offers stock and handguard, and I can buy Tapco gas piston to replace the original one, which gives 3 in total. Most people says replacing the magazine will handle the rest, but problem is that in PRNJ no detachable magazine is allowed for SKS and no 15+ rnd magazine is permitted either. Under this situation is it still OK to install new stock to SKS? Thanks.

Do you need the forms of Edison or you already have those?

Edison township, only applied for initial FID, no P2P Submitted forms on 3/19 Fingerprinted on 3/26 Reference letters mailed back on 3/31 Called yesterday and the PD said they're waiting for mental health records from the state. Wonder how long will that take.
